Spiritual Awareness ~ Full Moon Runecasting And Bindrune 9 June 2017

Spiritual Awareness ~ Full Moon Runecasting And Bindrune 9 June 2017

Tonight is the Full Strawberry Moon and I decided to do a runecasting prior to tonight’s Esbat ritual for a bindrune invoking spiritual awareness. As a side note, I harvested my first strawberry of the season out in my medicinal garden, tiny, but sweet and yummy and I also crafted a new set of runes from some Black Locust I have growing next to one of my ponds. We brought the trees in from my husband’s parent’s home before it sold years ago and now the trees are producing blooms that are so beautiful! I hadn’t yet crafted any runes from them and their blooms reminded me of that fact. So my husband kindly cut some rune stock from a branch he had pruned last year and I spent a couple of days sanding and wood burning until the runes felt right in my hands.

Runes have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Although I do buy runes made from stone, I always make my wooden runes. There’s something about a witch’s interaction between the wood itself and the sanding and engraving process that makes every set a reflection of the witch’s inner vision. I create them in the order established by the Elder Futhark, visualizing each rune’s meaning.

For this Full Strawberry Moon runecasting, I drew Perthro, Mannaz, Eihwaz, Jera, and Fehu. Runes have many influences and the well of Wyrd, rational thought, paradox, transformation and balance, and wealth are the primary influences contained within the runecasting. I derive the overall numerology of a runecasting from their numerical placement in the Futhark, so individually they are 14, 20, 13, 12, and 1 respectively, with 6, or the sacred layer of Higher Self presence, as the runecasting’s overall numerological influence.

Perthro is the rune of fate, the unknown, and the cup from which runes are cast. A Water Element rune, its numerology of 5 reinforces the elemental influence of change. Also known as the childbirth rune, Perthro also represents birth if pointing to the right or death if pointing to the left. It reveals memories and can be visualized in meditation to experience past lives. Perthro represents the simplicity of cause and effect on the physical plane as well as the alignment of our nonphysical aspect of Self.

Intuition is balanced with our rational mind with Mannaz, the 20th rune of the Elder Futhark. An Earth rune, Mannaz represents humanity’s need for partnership and helps us understand our role in the greater community or society at large. It teaches us to live our lives in the present moment and to understand that we are part of a greater unified presence.

The 13th rune of the Elder Futhark, Eihwaz provides the connection between physical and nonphysical aspects of Self, the link between realms. It provides both structure and transformation, infusing Spirit into form and creates movement from one energetic state to another, eliminating stagnation that prevents clarity.

Another Earth rune, Jera is the rune of transformation and balance, fertility, and positive change. It’s useful to hang in the garden as part of a bindrune for growth as well as to bring harmony and alignment to relationships. Luck, prosperity, and the cycles of life are among Jera’s influences.

We end with Fehu, the sending rune representing wealth and traditionally, cattle. A Fire Element rune, Fehu begins the Elder Futhark and increases wealth and abundance as well as the witch’s ability to send energetic intentions. As the final rune of the runecasting, I believe it’s there to organize and send the collective energy of the runes above it.

Perthro opens us to experiencing the partnership of Mannaz while Eihwaz infuses that spiritual awareness into our daily lives. Jera further transforms our relationships into a conscious, unified presence with all. And Fehu provides the catalyst necessary to cast the intention of unified presence to the universe.

I created a bindrune along with a planetary sigil using the magick square for Jupiter and burned both onto a piece of juniper to invoke spiritual awareness of our unified presence. I like working with both types of sigils and have been using them together lately. The sigil from the magick square uses the letters associated with each rune to obtain their numerological equivalent and I drew the sigil from there.

I blessed and consecrated the sigil with the following chant. I used the Latin version:

  • I bind these runes     (Circum nos imbuit)
  • Blending energies within     (Melicos intra resonantia)
  • Bringing balance without    (Componere sine)
  • Infused with immanence     (Splendido immanentia vestiganda)
  • I bless and consecrate this sigil     (Benedico et consecrare hoc sigil)
  • In alignment with Goddess     (In noctis per Dea)
  • It is done     (Consummatum est)

Sigil magick is great to use when you want to create a symbol for a collective influence or intention. It can be as complicated or as simple as you like; it’s all a reflection of your own process. I wrote a book called Magick and the Aligned Witch in which I discuss working magick from an aligned state. Magick worked from an aligned state is less about consequences or trying to create the space for one thing or another to happen and more about creating the space for remembrance of who we are. We’re not here to judge others or expect them to live in accordance with our respective comfort levels. And casting our intentions when aligned in Source Presence allows us to see all as extensions of Self and the Creator and experience the truth of their perfection.

Now in the time of ascension, many are awakening to the truth of who they are and magick that creates the space for that process to happen in perfect love and perfect trust is the primary focus of this witch. Witches stand in observation of the world around them, secure in their knowing that all of it is an illusion of form. We can participate within that subjective, ego-based structure or reflect one that engages from an awareness of Higher Self. The choice is ours.

Our focus can no longer be on what separates us, but in fact, the awareness that we are one unified presence. We can no longer afford to be confused about this truth allowing hate and division to drive the conversation. We are so much more than we have been led to believe. We are the Creator, focused into the fabric of space/time, in collective creation of the universe.

My dear family, we are so much more than we thought, and it’s time to awaken to that truth.

Blessed Be

A Study Of The Emerald Tablets of Thoth ~ Tablet 1: The History of Thoth the Atlantean

A Study Of The Emerald Tablets of Thoth ~ Tablet 1: The History of Thoth the Atlantean

I’m fascinated by Thoth, so much so that my favorite tarot deck is the Thoth tarot by Aleister Crowley. Studying the Emerald Tablets has both reinforced and clarified much of what I believe particularly how I view who we are in form. Various authors have researched the Tablets and offered their own interpretations. Dr. Doreal’s book, The Emerald Tablets of Thoth-The-Atlantean² provides a critical look at the message Thoth had to share as well as does the work of Gerald R. Clark in The 7th Planet, Mercury Rising³. Both authors discuss their interpretations with scholarship and devotion to Thoth’s message and I recommend both highly.

The following is my take on what Thoth has to say. I make no claim of a better understanding than anyone else. I only want to work through it and make some comments. The link to the website is below where I found another copy of the Tablets. I’ll reference sections, but the entire first Tablet is below.

Thoth tells us that he began his incarnation in Keor, a city on the island of Undal long ago and renews his life in the Halls of Amenti:

A hundred times ten
have I descended the dark way that led into light,
and as many times have I ascended from the
darkness into the light my strength and power renewed.

He’s telling us that he’s made the trip down to and back from the Halls of Amenti one thousand times, in renewal and rebirth and tells us that he descends once more, reminding all to never betray his message, lest he require an accounting of those left behind. It’s unclear given when this tablet was written or if Thoth has already begun reappearing as someone new, but either way, an accounting will be required in view of the fact that his message has been largely ignored by those in power.

Thoth refers to the Children of Light, of which he is one, acknowledging that his father, Thotme (possibly aka Enki) as the greatest of all and regards him as his most beloved teacher. As Thoth gained in wisdom, it began to dominate his thinking resulting in the Dweller of the Temple reaching out and commanding him to come to the Halls of Amenti. At this point in his life, Thoth was not yet granted immortality and describes the difference between the Children of Light and mortal men:

Few there were among the children of men
who had looked upon that mighty face and lived,
for not as the sons of men are the
Children of Light when they are not incarnate
in a physical body.

The Dweller agreed to teach him, so Thoth remained in the Temple for an extended period of time learning the path to Amenti. And here is where he tells us that he’s been granted immortality, and a different method of renewal and rebirth than the reincarnation a human experiences.

Taught me he, the path to Amenti,
the underworld where the great king sits
upon his throne of might.

Deep I bowed in homage before the Lords of Life
and the Lords of Death,
receiving as my gift the Key of Life.

Free was I of the Halls of Amenti,
bound not be death to the circle of life.
Far to the stars I journeyed until
space and time became as naught.

And regarding a human’s reincarnation process:

Down through the ages I lived,
seeing those around me taste of the cup
of death and return again in the light of life.

And when those in Atlantis lost their way and preferred darkness over light, shit, as they say, got real:

Gradually from the Kingdoms of Atlantis passed waves
of consciousness that had been one with me,
only to be replaced by spawn of a lower star.

In obedience to the law,
the word of the Master grew into flower.
Downward into the darkness turned the
thoughts of the Atlanteans,
Until at last in this wrath arose from his AGWANTI,
the Dweller, (this word has no English equivalent;
it means a state of detachment)
speaking The Word, calling the power.

Deep in Earth’s heart, the sons of Amenti heard,
and hearing, directing the changing of the flower of fire
that burns eternally, changing and shifting, using the LOGOS,
until that great fire changed its direction.

Over the world then broke the great waters,
drowning and sinking,
changing Earth’s balance
until only the Temple of Light was left
standing on the great mountain on UNDAL
still rising out of the water;
some there were who were living,
saved from the rush of the fountains.

Apparently, the sons of Amenti energetically caused a pole shift with a great flood as the result. Was this the flood mentioned in the Bible? Possibly, or it was one of many. Earth’s balance was changed and Thoth tells us that only the Temple of Light was left along with a handful of others who were saved.

The Bible is an interesting document, and with all its rewrites and flaws, I view it as an account of our interaction with visitors to Earth who were involved in our creation via genetic manipulation. The God of the Bible isn’t the Creator, in my estimation, but the primary ruler of our progenitors.

Thoth states that the Master, the Dweller?, told him to take everyone who was left alive to Khem, today known as Egypt, which he does by using the Master’s space ship. As they rose into the air, they witnessed the Temple sinking into the sea.

Gathered I then my people and
entered the great ship of the Master.
Upward we rose into the morning.
Dark beneath us lay the Temple.
Suddenly over it rose the waters.
Vanished from Earth,
until the time appointed,
was the great Temple.

Upon reaching Khem, Thoth tells us further that the indigenous people were not happy to see them and became violent in defense of their land. Thoth, his staff emitting a ray, forced them to hear him.

Then raised I my staff and directed a ray of vibration,
striking them still in their tracks as fragments
of stone of the mountain.

Then spoke I to them in words calm and peaceful,
telling them of the might of Atlantis,
saying we were children of the Sun and its messengers.
Cowed I them by my display of magic-science,
until at my feet they groveled, when I released them.

Thoth and his people remained in Khem for a long time, eventually sending out Sons of Atlantis to various areas of the Earth to bring his message of love and truth to the rest of humanity.

Long dwelt we in the land of KHEM,
long and yet long again.
Until obeying the commands of the Master,
who while sleeping yet lives eternally,
I sent from me the Sons of Atlantis,
sent them in many directions,
that from the womb of time wisdom
might rise again in her children.

But as time went on, Thoth needed access to Amenti so that he could experience his own rebirth and renewal,a different process than the typical reincarnation that humanity experiences, so he created one using among other things, a crystal pyramid for energy direction:

Blasted I then a path to Amenti so
that I might retain my powers,
living from age to age a Sun of Atlantis,
keeping the wisdom, preserving the records.

And:

Now for a time I go from among them into
the dark halls of Amenti,
deep in the halls of the Earth,
before the Lords of the powers,
face to face once again with the Dweller.

Raised I high over the entrance, a doorway, a gateway
leading down to Amenti.

Few there would be with courage to dare it,
few pass the portal to dark Amenti.
Raised over the passage, I, a mighty pyramid,
using the power that overcomes Earth force (gravity).
Deep and yet deeper place I a force-house or chamber;
from it carved I a circular passage
reaching almost to the great summit.

There in the apex, set I the crystal,
sending the ray into the “Time-Space,”
drawing the force from out of the ether,
concentrating upon the gateway to Amenti.

So, Thoth actually constructs the physical entrance to Amenti along with the Great Pyramid of Giza using the same crystal pyramid power that overcomes the gravity of earth.

Builded I the Great Pyramid,
patterned after the pyramid of Earth force,
burning eternally so that it, too,
might remain through the ages.

In it, I builded my knowledge of “Magic-Science”
so that I might be here when again I return from Amenti,
Aye, while I sleep in the Halls of Amenti,
my Soul roaming free will incarnate,
dwell among men in this form or another. (Hermes, thrice-born.)

Emissary on Earth am I of the Dweller,
fulfilling his commands so many might be lifted.
Now return I to the halls of Amenti,
leaving behind me some of my wisdom.
Preserve ye and keep ye the command of the Dweller:
Lift ever upwards your eyes toward the light.

It’s interesting that Thoth shares with us the fact that while he takes his respite in the Halls of Amenti, his soul remains free to incarnate as other entities;

Aye, while I sleep in the Halls of Amenti,
my Soul roaming free will incarnate,
dwell among men in this form or another. (Hermes, thrice-born.)

The Emerald Tablets are attributed to Hermes Trismegistus, or Hermes, thrice-born, who is considered to be Thoth in another form. Throughout the remaining tablets, Thoth describes further who we are and counsels that living solely within the body isn’t necessary, that astrally projecting allows us to explore more of the universe as well as more of who we are.

I plan to go through each tablet to mine their spiritual gems for they are endless. Thoth ends with the following:

Surely in time, ye are one with the Master,
surely by right ye are one with the Master,
surely by right yet are one with the ALL.

Now, I depart from ye.
Know my commandments,
keep them and be them,
and I will be with you,
helping and guiding you into the Light.

Now before me opens the portal.
Go I down in the darkness of night.

The Emerald Tablets represent one of the most comprehensive viewpoints on who we are apart from the form we take. Life is not what many of us believe that it is and our written history is varied and therefore suspect. There is nothing to work our way back to other than remembrance of who we are, something that Thoth explains quite well.

Tablet #2 is next.

Blessings!

Tablet 1

I, THOTH, the Atlantean, master of mysteries,
keeper of records, mighty king, magician,
living from generation to generation,
being about to pass into the halls of Amenti,
set down for the guidance of
those that are to come after,
these records of the mighty wisdom of Great Atlantis.

In the great city of KEOR on the island of UNDAL,
in a time far past, I began this incarnation.
Not as the little men of the present age did
the mighty ones of Atlantis live and die,
but rather from aeon to aeon did they renew
their life in the Halls of Amenti where the river of life
flows eternally onward.

A hundred times ten
have I descended the dark way that led into light,
and as many times have I ascended from the
darkness into the light my strength and power renewed.

Now for a time I descend,
and the men of KHEM (Khem is ancient Egypt)
shall know me no more.

But in a time yet unborn will I rise again,
mighty and potent, requiring an accounting
of those left behind me.

Then beware, O men of KHEM,
if ye have falsely betrayed my teaching,
for I shall cast ye down from your high estate
into the darkness of the caves from whence ye came.

Betray not my secrets
to the men of the North
or the men of the South
lest my curse fall upon ye.

Remember and heed my words,
for surely will I return again
and require of thee that which ye guard.
Aye, even from beyond time and
from beyond death will I return,
rewarding or punishing
as ye have requited your truest.

Great were my people in the ancient days,
great beyond the conception of the
little people now around me;
knowing the wisdom of old,
seeking far within the heart of infinity
knowledge that belonged to Earth’s youth.

Wise were we with the wisdom
of the Children of Light who dwelt among us.
Strong were we with the power drawn
from the eternal fire.

And of all these, greatest among the
children of men was my father, THOTME,
keeper of the great temple,
link between the Children of Light
who dwelt within the temple and the
races of men who inhabited the ten islands.

Mouthpiece, after the Three,
of the Dweller of UNAL,
speaking to the Kings
with the voice that must be obeyed.

Grew I there from a child into manhood,
being taught by my father the elder mysteries,
until in time there grew within the fire of wisdom,
until it burst into a consuming flame.

Naught desired I but the attainment of wisdom.
Until on a great day the command came from the
Dweller of the Temple that I be brought before him.
Few there were among the children of men
who had looked upon that mighty face and lived,
for not as the sons of men are the
Children of Light when they are not incarnate
in a physical body.

Chosen was I from the sons of men,
taught by the Dweller so that his
purposes might be fulfilled,
purposes yet unborn in the womb of time.

Long ages I dwelt in the Temple,
learning ever and yet ever more wisdom,
until I, too, approached the light emitted
from the great fire.

Taught me he, the path to Amenti,
the underworld where the great king sits
upon his throne of might.

Deep I bowed in homage before the Lords of Life
and the Lords of Death,
receiving as my gift the Key of Life.

Free was I of the Halls of Amenti,
bound not be death to the circle of life.
Far to the stars I journeyed until
space and time became as naught.

Then having drunk deep of the cup of wisdom,
I looked into the hearts of men and there found I
greater mysteries and was glad.
For only in the Search for Truth could my Soul
be stilled and the flame within be quenched.

Down through the ages I lived,
seeing those around me taste of the cup
of death and return again in the light of life.

Gradually from the Kingdoms of Atlantis passed waves
of consciousness that had been one with me,
only to be replaced by spawn of a lower star.

In obedience to the law,
the word of the Master grew into flower.
Downward into the darkness turned the
thoughts of the Atlanteans,
Until at last in this wrath arose from his AGWANTI,
the Dweller, (this word has no English equivalent;

speaking The Word, calling the power.

Deep in Earth’s heart, the sons of Amenti heard,
and hearing, directing the changing of the flower of fire
that burns eternally, changing and shifting, using the LOGOS,
until that great fire changed its direction.

drowning and sinking,
changing Earth’s balance
until only the Temple of Light was left
standing on the great mountain on UNDAL
still rising out of the water;
some there were who were living,
saved from the rush of the fountains.

Called to me then the Master, saying:
Gather ye together my people.
Take them by the arts ye have learned of far across the waters,
until ye reach the land of the hairy barbarians,
dwelling in caves of the desert.
Follow there the plan that yet know of.

Gathered I then my people and
entered the great ship of the Master.
Upward we rose into the morning.
Dark beneath us lay the Temple.
Suddenly over it rose the waters.
Vanished from Earth,
until the time appointed,
was the great Temple.

Fast we fled toward the sun of the morning,
until beneath us lay the land of the children of KHEM.
Raging, they came with cudgels and spears,
lifted in anger seeking to slay and utterly destroy the Sons of Atlantis.

Then raised I my staff and directed a ray of vibration,
striking them still in their tracks as fragments
of stone of the mountain.

Then spoke I to them in words calm and peaceful,
telling them of the might of Atlantis,
saying we were children of the Sun and its messengers.
Cowed I them by my display of magic-science,

long and yet long again.
Until obeying the commands of the Master,
who while sleeping yet lives eternally,
I sent from me the Sons of Atlantis,
sent them in many directions,
that from the womb of time wisdom
might rise again in her children.

Long time dwelt I in the land of KHEM,
doing great works by the wisdom within me.
Upward grew into the light of knowledge
the children of KHEM,
watered by the rains of my wisdom.

Blasted I then a path to Amenti so
that I might retain my powers,
living from age to age a Sun of Atlantis,
keeping the wisdom, preserving the records.

Great few the sons of KHEM,
conquering the people around them,
growing slowly upwards in Soul force.

Now for a time I go from among them into
the dark halls of Amenti,
deep in the halls of the Earth,
before the Lords of the powers,
face to face once again with the Dweller.

Raised I high over the entrance, a doorway, a gateway

reaching almost to the great summit.

There in the apex, set I the crystal,
sending the ray into the “Time-Space,”
drawing the force from out of the ether,
concentrating upon the gateway to Amenti.

Other chambers I built and left vacant to all seeming,
yet hidden within them are the keys to Amenti.
He who in courage would dare the dark realms,
let him be purified first by long fasting.

Lie in the sarcophagus of stone in my chamber.
Then reveal I to him the great mysteries.
Soon shall he follow to where I shall meet him,
even in the darkness of Earth shall I meet him, I,
Thoth, Lord of Wisdom, meet him and hold him
and dwell with him always.

Builded I the Great Pyramid,
patterned after the pyramid of Earth force,
burning eternally so that it, too,
might remain through the ages.

In it, I builded my knowledge of “Magic-Science”
so that I might be here when again I return from Amenti,

Donald Needs A Tarot Reading ~ 22 May 2017

Donald Needs A Tarot Reading ~ 22 May 2017

Donald, it has to be said that Israel is in the Middle East. Why you don’t know that is beyond me. You’d think that some knowledge of geography would be required to hold the highest office in our country, but you seem to skate right by that. Anyway, since you clearly lack direction (pun intended because I’m a funny witch) I decided to do a tarot reading just for you. In fact, this might be a weekly occurrence, more if the situation warrants or if you begin wandering aimlessly.

Since you seemed to like that orb (I confess to some jealousy over that ~ witches do like shiny objects) tarot should be right up your alley. Look. I don’t like to judge, really I don’t, but you’ve got some interesting problems, not the least of which is what comes out of your mouth surpassed only by your lightning fast tweetstorms. You’ve certainly found a creative way to communicate with others. I mean, do you even sleep?

Anyway, the deck I’m using is the Robin Wood tarot deck. It has a pagan/witchy feel to it but it’s not as abstract as Aleister Crowley’s Thoth deck, my personal favorite, but I think you’ll like it. Didn’t I read that your mom was initiated as a Druid? Or was that fake news? I hope it’s true and if so, that’s so cool. I have Druid ancestry so I love that.

In case you’re unfamiliar with tarot, please bear with me if you are, the cards are arranged into sections referred to as Major and Minor Arcanas. The Major Arcana cards are also referred to as trumps, not after you so don’t get a swelled head about it, and they deal with soul archetypes. Yes, you have one, a soul that is.

By the way, the Creator is All That Is. Everything we see and experience, including our own physical reality, is an expression of the Creator, making our fundamental unity a collective vibration of Love. It’s just that when we live our lives here, some of us forget that fact. But more on that later. I usually do a wrap-up at the end of these things so sit tight. Which doesn’t mean that it’s your cue to begin tweeting.

The Minor Arcana is comprised of the small numbered cards and the Court cards. Again, not a nod to any delusions of kingship developing. The Ace of Swords begins the reading with an ornate sword pointing upward surrounded by garlands of white flowers spiraling in a double helix. The great sword of the Magus cuts through illusion, its brilliant countenance enabling full clarity. The Ace of Swords represents ideas emerging from Higher Consciousness. When in balance, our ideas spring from that state of alignment with Source Presence. When not, our ideas spring from our reactions to the world around us instead of from that inner presence within.

Sit with that for a bit. It’s important.

Moving on, there are four suits in tarot, each one corresponding to the four elements. Swords corresponds to Elemental Air (intellectual presence), Pentacles (the next card we’ll look at) corresponds with Earth (physical/material presence), Wands with Fire (catalytic presence), and Cups with Water (emotional presence).

The 5 of Pentacles is heartbreaking in this deck, isn’t it? Two wounded people remain bereft outside a church, snow beginning to fall around them. One individual appears to have lost part of a leg and it’s unclear if sight will return to his/her bandaged right eye. The other individual crouches near the ground trying to stay warm and dry. Neither seems interested in each other, both fully involved in their own sadness.

Moral of the story, Donald, shit happens in life that we’re not prepared for. And when it does, it can consume us. So maybe you should reconsider the whole ACA subsidy thing. We should have gone for single payer or Medicare for all, whatever folks want to call it, but life just works better when we don’t have to worry about whether or not we can see a doctor if we need to. Again, do your ideas manifest as reactions to what you see around you or do they manifest from a higher place of consciousness? The 5 of Pentacles is a window into the future of this country. You don’t make our country great by killing off its citizenry. Surely you can see that.

And now we come to The Fool, the card that begins the Major Arcana, and our journey through life. With his dog at his side, he plays a song on his flute as butterflies flutter about. All options are available to this new soul. Will he choose a life of service to self or a life in greater awareness of others? You can no doubt see the outcome of either choice.

And now we come to the wrap-up. I may get preachy.

It seems to me that the point of this reading is to suggest that you may want to reconsider your focus on destroying people’s lives. You can always make another choice, one that reflects a higher consciousness that I assure you is eagerly waiting to inform you of your true path forward.

Allow our unified presence to reach your awareness, it’s where you’ll find your purpose and that guidance will serve you well.

Allow the resonance of the Creator to fill you with such love and compassion that attending only to the needs of the wealthiest will be anathema to even consider.

It really would be your greatest win of all.

We’ll talk again soon.

Blessings!

Tunnel Vision: An Empath’s Sanctuary

Tunnel Vision: An Empath's Sanctuary

Tunnel vision is traditionally thought to be a hindrance, but for an empath or other sensitive humans, it can be our sanctuary. Empaths have all sorts of strategies when coping with uncomfortable energy and creating a tunnel is one such strategy. A tunnel is visualized providing a safe space from which to either exist or move about. It’s a great strategy to use in crowds or in large stores. Add a witch walk to it and people really move out of your way, especially men.

Coping strategies for empaths are often thought of as a response to our surrounding energetic environment instead of as a sacred space in which we reside. As we prepare our sacred space by creating what we wish to experience, at least in visual terms, challenging or vampiric energies that we experience are easier to deal with. In my case, I have trees that create natural archways around my property and I typically visualize walking under them while in chaotic or otherwise uncomfortable situations. The apple trees are blooming and their smell is pure nirvana, so I’m sure to include their smell in my visualization.

I focus on the sound of bees as they visit each flower and I’m just fine if it seems as if I’m not paying attention anymore because at that point, I’m probably not. Chaos and conflict can be impossible for empaths to handle with all the disparate and conflicting vibrations that we experience. We struggle to make sense of people and situations when retreating to our sacred space is in order. We naturally want to balance the energies that are swirling about us when we really should be minding our own business.

Empaths don’t simply experience what’s unfolding before them, but all the truth or lack thereof that’s behind it, and with each reaction, a energetic channel is created, locking us into an engagement we no longer control. Instead of observing what’s happening, we fully invest our emotional presence in that experience, absorbing vibrations that aren’t our own.

We see a way forward that others just don’t see. The struggle is an illusion that we create, not a fundamental truth that is eternal. The conflict, the strife, is nothing more than a choice; therefore, a different choice can be made. Empathic awareness is soul awareness. It originates from our unified presence with all and empaths benefit greatly from remaining in whatever sacred space we can create.

I’ve found watching the antics of the current regime to be exhausting. But it’s becoming ever more clear that our one family needs to see the effects of this type of chaos so that we refocus our efforts for the betterment of all. Because that’s all it takes, really, the choice to see all that we can accomplish together.

The process of ascension is a given, but it doesn’t mean that catalysts won’t occur to goose things along as it were. Our current president is apparently one such catalyst. With luck, we won’t need too much more to convince us of our folly and he and his friends will go back either to where they came from or to a prison of our choice.

But until that happens, empaths cannot allow the drama and vitriol that’s resulted from all of this mess to derail their peace. Create a tunnel with anything you like. I plan to put some wire over the hoop greenhouse I have and grow all of my melons and gourds out there so that I can go inside as they hang down around me. I also have a dome greenhouse which if my sweet peas cooperate will create a beautiful living flowered cover for my vegetable garden to grow under. Or I have the trees that arch over my path. All serve as a wonderful visualization for sacred space.

Whether we’re empaths or not, our peace of mind invariably takes a back seat to everything else that’s happening around us. We have to stop doing that and begin creating the sacred space from which we view our experiences. It’s a place of strength amid the confusion and deception that we’re experiencing now and one each one of us should make every attempt to cultivate. Otherwise, we absorb the problematic vibrations surrounding us, reacting instead of staying in control, which for empaths is the last thing we need.

A narrow focus, some tunnel vision, provides respite from the storm that’s raging. Create your sacred space making it as beautiful and detailed as you like, and then engage from that blessed still point. We can be of no help to anyone when overwhelmed by the vibrations of others, so take the time to create your own sanctuary of sacred space. Our peace of mind matters that much.

Blessings!

The Sacred Space Of Home ~ Runecasting for 10 May 2017

The Sacred Space Of Home ~ Runecasting for 10 May 2017

Last night was the Full Flower Moon. Symbolic of mystery and emotional presence, witches everywhere stand in observance of the Esbat ritual by drawing down the Moon and communing with their Goddess of choice. I’m partial to Hecate and Brigid but typically I stay more generic, reserving specific Goddesses for Dark Moon ritual.

We set the altar and cast the circle, defining our spiritual workspace if you will. From there, witches may meditate or ride the hedge, or perform magickal workings if needed. I view the Full Moon as a time of purification and alignment with Goddess presence. I also cast the runes, creating a bindrune if energies align which I did for last night’s ritual.

Runes of higher consciousness, openings, and sacred space comprise today’s runecasting. Runes from the Elder Futhark are divided into three groups or Aetts and today’s runes, Algiz, Kenaz, and Othala, are from each aett dealing with practical issues, psychological aspects of self, and universal law.

Representing Air, Fire, and Water, Algiz is our connection between physical and nonphysical aspects of self. Like the horns of the elk, Algiz fosters safety and protection and as the rune of higher consciousness, a connection with the divine resonance within.

Kenaz continues as the rune of openings. Also known as the torch, Kenaz represents the light of truth, healing, and love, revealing secrets by increasing intuition. Transformation and enlightenment are among Kenaz’s primary influences as it lights the way to truth.

Othala is an interesting rune in that rune casters are divided as to its placement in the Elder Futhark. It’s traditionally placed at the end but some switch it with Dagaz, placing that rune as the final rune of the Futhark. I’ve vacillated back and forth on the subject and now I’m back to placing it at the end. Othala is said to contain all energies of the runes as it balances order with chaos, and represents the sacred space of our Akash and universal cosmic law.

A bindrune can be created like the one in the picture above combining the energies of the three runes into a synchronous intention that can then be cast or carried with you like a talisman, bringing the aligned vibrations with you throughout your day. I use bindrunes for both purposes.

What’s nice about this runecasting and bindrune is that it acknowledges our true nature as Source Energy, in unified presence with all. It asks us to remain open to that truth and mindful that all are on the same path to awakening and enlightenment. Some choose a more self-oriented focus while others remain aware of their greater nature as one with all. Either focus is acceptable but one is more challenging than the other. Our perspective while in physical form determines how we see and respond to either choice we make.

When the Moon is full she’s in her full presence reminding us to do the same. During these dark days, we need as much light as we can project to see the truth of what’s going on. This runecasting suggests that perceiving from our higher consciousness allows us to remain open to truth, irrespective of what that might be, secure in the understanding that everything around is a collective projection and as such, subjective and illusory. Finally, Othala reminds us that our sacred space is still safe, protected from the chaos that may be surrounding us. As the Creator, how could we be anything less?

We’re at our best when we stand in our power together as one. The magick of the bindrune is in its synchronicity, both with the runes themselves as well as with our unified presence. We are inextricably bound together, our one family, whether we come together in unity or remain at odds with each other.

Isn’t it time we realized this truth?

Blessings to our one big beautifully messy family! Our underlying love for each other, realized or not, will provide the light necessary to show us the way home.

Where We Find Our Peace ~ Tarot for 9 May 2017

Where We Find Our Peace ~ Tarot for 9 May 2017

Wow. Lots happening today culminating with the new guy firing the Director of the FBI, James Comey. Although firing someone who is investigating him seems to be a trend with this impulse-challenged overgrown child pretending to be our president, the timing seems odd as well as its roll out. It doesn’t appear the new guy thought firing the guy who was investigating him was important enough to do so in person. Instead, Director Comey learned of his dismissal while giving a speech.

We’re circling the drain in this country. Our shared values are being annihilated before our very eyes replaced by a pull it out of his ass mentality, our integrity be damned.

Like many witches, when a situation is unclear, I use divination tools such as runes and tarot cards to gain insight.  The Moon, The Star, and the 8 of Cups comprise today’s tarot reading. Aleister Crowley’s Thoth tarot deck is my favorite tarot deck to use. It’s not conventional, but then neither am I. Lady Frieda Harris’s depiction of each card is so beautiful that it’s easy to become lost in the flowing symbolism of each card, particularly those of the Major Arcana.

Regarding The Moon, from Crowley’s The Book of Thoth as referenced in Duquette’s Understanding Aleister Crowley’s Thoth Tarot:

Let the Illusion of the World pass over thee unheeded, as thou goest from the Midnight to the Morning.¹

Isn’t that amazing? Let the Illusion of the World pass over thee unheeded is the key to navigating life in this odd, chaotic experience we’re creating together. Even if we believe we’re victims, ours is a participatory experience. Harris depicts the traditional symbolism of The Moon somewhat differently, including Anubis in dual form, each aligning with a darkened tower. The Moon appears to be spilling into the horizon below as if pouring its secrets into our consciousness. A scarab, an Egyptian symbol for eternity, appears below, its antennae enclosing a golden orb, a gift of clarity and rebirth from The Moon above reminding us that we are indeed an eternal unified presence and we should allow the illusion of the world to pass over…unheeded. In other words, observe what’s happening without becoming caught up in illusion itself.

Preceding The Moon in the Major Arcana, The Star represents our visions and dreams becoming reality. She is the Goddess, the Blessed Conduit between physical and nonphysical aspects of self. Lady Harris illustrates the Goddess pouring blessings from above, her back turned to the world. The star above spirals around her, our energy vortex into form. The Star’s blue, rose, and golden hues suggest peace and calm are possible when our focus is in alignment with our unified presence.

Finally, we come to the most blasé card of the Thoth tarot, the 8 of Cups. Water rather dribbles from lotus blossoms to four cups below. Four of the cups appear to be empty, and the others sparse at best. Indolence is this card’s title suggesting emotional stagnation and a feeling of nothing left to give, a sense of exhaustion dominating the card. We’re counseled to let go of what no longers serves when this card appears in a reading.

Major Arcana cards are considered soul archetypes and when they appear in a reading we’re to take special notice, particularly when more than one present. Given that The Star and The Moon appear consecutively in the Major Arcana, the 17th and 18th cards respectively, together their numerology reduces to the Saturnian number of 8 or structure, manifestation, protection, and discipline.

The overall numerology of the reading is 7 or divinity, intuition, and wholeness. When ill-dignified, 7 can reflect our shadow side of self. Seven reflects the balance we strike between self and other awareness or the choice we make between a self-centered focus or one that embraces and includes others. Together with the 8, do we navigate this life alone or do we manifest our lives in full awareness of our unified presence with all?

Both The Moon and The Star rely on inner vision born from alignment with our Source Presence and suggest that we find our peace in that awareness. Those who choose a self-oriented focus will do anything to continue that choice undisturbed and undeterred. The hidden influence of The Moon may be suggesting that much is happening behind the scenes, the new guy’s recent actions appearing as a response to that activity.

They’ve truly gone as far as they can go with their deception and avarice. Their brazenness will be their undoing in the end, our ultimate peace a welcome relief from the chaos.

A Circle Of Protection To Bind Their Fate

A Circle of Protection To Bind Their Fate

Protection can take many forms. It can be defensive or offensive in nature as with martial arts, or it can be born of inner awareness. Rune magick is a method of bringing runic influences together in sigil form for a specific purpose. It can be divination-oriented, or it can bring about a change of some kind. I use sigils in general because they represent a focused intention. I like how they organize my thoughts around whatever situation I’m concerned with. Lately, my thoughts have been on protection.

I was listening to a woman speak today on a podcast who was talking about how unsustainable it is to provide financial assistance to people in our country. She had a Darwinian bent and appeared to believe that survival of the fittest was the best way to solve our problems. I don’t share her premise or perspective because I know that we’re one collective consciousness and how we live should reflect that truth.

It would be like expecting each cell in our bodies to survive on its own without the integration required so that our bodies exist and function properly. The same concept is true in a bee colony. I’m someone who is kept by bees. I’d say I’m a beekeeper, but bees don’t need a keeper so it feels odd to call myself that. Anyway, the hive wouldn’t survive long if a survival of the fittest attitude swept the colony. Then they probably would need a keeper. You know, like the so-called new guy seems to need.

Today’s runecasting centers around protection. But it doesn’t necessarily reflect the intention of protection against something or someone. Sometimes our greatest protection involves how we interpret what’s happening around us. As A Course in Miracles tells us, we give everything we see the meaning it has. Now the bulk of humanity may agree with our assessment, but we’re still giving everything we experience the meaning it has.

If we can look dispassionately at situations that are concerning, then we’re better able to view them with more clarity than when we’re caught up in our reactions to whatever is occurring. So in a real sense, protection should also involve our choice of reaction.

Additionally, our state of mind, be it loving or not, should also influence our feeling of protection, again reflecting that dispassionate view that helps keep us centered and aligned. So when I was looking at some bindrunes I’ve created over the last few months, I selected those that protected, aligned, extended love, and invoked a centered and unified presence to surround today’s runecasting creating a greater a circle of protection to support its message.

Othala, Gebo, and Hagalaz are today’s runes and bring influences of our Akash and ancestral heritage, balanced energy exchange, and then a little destruction in preparation for impending change with some hawthorn twigs rounding out the protection influences. Othala represents our collective nature, both in physical and nonphysical form. It asserts that our greatest achievements are accomplished together, Darwin be damned.

Moving deocil around spread, the witch invokes change and Hagalaz as the witch rune accomplishes this task. It provides the balanced structure necessary for positive change to unfold and provides blessings to speed the process.

Gebo reflects both inner and outer balance and teaches us to live in harmony with each other. Again, Darwin’s not finding a home here. Using the example of our bodies again, when the body is not in balance then disease or ill health results. If the imbalance is left unchecked, the body may not survive. It’s the same with humanity. We won’t survive if we don’t bring our polarities back into balance. The masculine has run amok and the feminine has had enough. The answer is a more balanced approach but the masculine energy disagrees and here we are now, in need of some protection.

But we don’t need a savior, even if he’s back from vacation. We need clarity. We need truth. And when we have that, the answers will be clear. But until that happens, we need to remain as aligned as possible in Higher Self awareness, viewing what’s unfolding with discernment, taking a dispassionate stance.

Disinformation and distraction seem to be the mantra of the new regime. But in time the proverbial man behind the curtain will be revealed and then heads will roll, the circle of protection binding their fate. We’re being shown a future that few anticipated or wanted. A country reflects everyone within. The people make up its heart and vitality, its blood supply extending life to all.

We’re not a business decision, a deal to be made, or a company to be closed. We’re the very life force without which this country would not even exist and we have always been more than the sum of our parts. We cannot be dismissed as irrelevant because we most certainly are not.

We see you, in all your predatory ugliness. We know what you’re doing and you’re not going to get away with it. You believe you can strip mine us into oblivion all while making a buck off of the deal.

But then you’re a fool.

You’ll create a mess that you won’t be able to clean up. But don’t worry. The rest of us, in our unity of purpose, in the protection of all that we have co-created together, will be happy to do that for you.

Blessed Be

Revolution ~ Tarot for 11 April 2017

Revolution ~ Tarot for 11 April 2017

While we began in Ruin yesterday, we begin today experiencing Conflict leading to revolution. An oddly shaped rock structure rises in the background in the 5 of Wands, powerful yet worn. Competition and strife are felt by the five upward pointing spears, flames rising from each tip. A balanced hierarchy exists with the center spear in dominance. Its hexagram is titled Revolution based on higher principles instead of power. Without that aspect present on the card, we’re not really sure of the genesis of the conflict. In this case, it appears the conflict is in service of a greater good.

The High Priestess appears next in the reading illustrating a luminous goddess, her hands raised in supplication to the moon. A large bubble hides her countenance creating mystery and suggesting secret knowledge and inner wisdom. A camel appears below representing the Hebrew glyph on the above left reinforced by the rune, Uruz on the right representing the strength of the aurochs and manifestation of consciousness into form. A card of the Moon, The High Priestess represents the Divine Feminine, intuition, stillness, and alignment.

With inner wisdom as our guide, a conflict born of revolution, when focused on a higher purpose can yield the Richness depicted by the 10 of Stones. The blessings found in legacy built from community effort are felt with this card. Its hexagram is The Well representing the resources necessary to establish and preserve the needs of the community at large.

In the hidden influence position, The Fool reminds us that we’re forever on a journey to remembrance and awakening. We can always correct course and refocus in a more positive direction. A focus on the present moment releases expectations that seem to only hinder our progression, allowing us to develop our infinite potential.

We end with the 3 of Swords titled Mourning. Two swords are suspended with their tips pointing to the earth. A tear emerges from a wound in the background. A third sword is suspended to the side as if standing aside from the drama. Its hexagram suggests Retreat from a situation based on past conflict or hurt in an effort to gain a new perspective. Although the card suggests some pain is involved a running theme of the reading focuses on turning weakness or disadvantage into strength associated with a higher purpose.

Three can indicate a synthesis of some kind, in this case, understanding gained from the inner awareness that with unified effort revolutionary ideas can find their genesis, creating a stronger and happier future for all. The overall numerology of the reading is 2 or choice. And it’s clear that the choice that gives us ultimate joy is found in unity with others.

Those who wish only power will find that the rest of us have no intention of cooperating with their self-possessed agenda. They can change the narrative in any way they like but it will still come out the same. Deception and betrayal have a funny way of spawning revolution.

Humanity’s time has come. It’s time for the foolish ones to either get on board or step out of the way.

Blessed Be

Unity of Purpose: The Path of Least Resistance ~ Tarot for 10 April 2017

Unity of Purpose: The Path of Least Resistance ~ Tarot for 10 April 2017

Resistance is felt as Ruin and Interference surround the Princess of Wands in today’s Thoth tarot reading. Swords and Wands along with The Devil from the Major Arcana comprise the spread. Swords, a suit of elemental Air, represents our intellectual presence and asks us to convey our essential truth. Wands, from elemental Fire, signify our moral compass and the creative side of self, catalytic and expansive. An Ace appears as well indicating the genesis of something new.

But we begin in Ruin with the 10 of Swords. A small heart appears behind 10 swords. Nine appear to target the tenth sword in the center, breaking it into numerous pieces. The use of fiery orange as a backdrop to the random geometric stars indicates a heightened conflict with random accusations being thrown about. Thoughts are in such disarray that they eventually find no purchase and begin to give way to some clarity about the moment illustrated by the orange giving way to yellow in the center of the card.

The heart is interesting in that its size represents its protection, safely tucked in the background knowing that the conflict is nearing its end. The numerology of the card is 1 or new beginnings reinforcing the darkest before the dawn feel of the 10 of Swords. Sometimes we overcomplicate things when listening to our inner voice would give us the clarity we need. The 10 of Swords seems to say that we’ve interfered with our process long enough and now it’s time to get on with things.

I’ll skip past the Princess and look next at the 8 of Swords. Interference is its title and again we’re blocking our own process only this time we’re in resistance instead of realization. There could be outside interference but given the appearance of the 10 of Swords, it appears that this is self-induced, particularly with Gemini as its planetary influence.

Our Princess of Swords has the tiger by the tail as together they ride the catalytic wave in pure energetic joy. She expresses a sense of allowing, experiencing life in nonresistance. Her focus is on the present moment, in full awareness of the power that it brings, uninhibited by past or future concerns. The Princess carries a wand adorned by a sunflower counseling us to stay positive and keep our vibration high.

In the position of hidden influence sits the Ace of Wands, its energy exploding from the wand’s tip. Appearing more club-like, this wand emphasizes the beginning of passion and the creative essence within. It can represent birth and one’s legacy as well as courage and virility. The Ace of Wands reminds us that this divine spark of Source Presence is our true legacy.

And with The Devil, we see that the choice we make decides the ultimate outcome. Are we here to experience life in self-absorption, stuck in never-ending perception and judgment? Because that’s certainly one option. The other option is to experience the clarity found in present moment awareness for in that awareness we’re in an eternal process of becoming, unhindered by past perceptions that only serve to keep us stuck instead of flowing in nonresistant joy.

The overall numerology of the reading is 7 or divinity, wholeness, intuition, and the shadow side of self. Seven is also about standing on the brink of choice as its structure breaks down to a representation of scales: 3 + 1+ 3. So the overall numerology reinforces the choice we make when incarnating into form between a self-oriented focus or one that includes compassion and respect for the needs of others, exclusion versus inclusion you might say.

We believe the battle is between the dark and light aspects of self when in reality it’s our choice of focus that influences how the rest of our story unfolds. A focus on the self can result in a belief in power and control over others, living life at their expense. The individual is unable to feel empathy for others unless it serves his or her individual agenda.

Allowing for the inclusion of others creates an other-oriented focus. A sense of shared purpose and mutual benefit is felt when allowance is made for the needs of all.

The choice to live in service to self is being played out with the so-called guy. He dines with visiting dignitaries not at the White House but at one of his golf resorts where he can make a profit from the dinner. For some reason, his Education secretary needs one million dollars per month for her personal security. Unable to contain his love for war, he authorized the use of fifty-nine Tomahawk missiles against a Syrian airbase which didn’t even take out the chemicals that were allegedly used on the Syrian people. Everyone there left after either removing or bunkering what they didn’t want to lose, given prior heads-up by the so-called new guy in advance of the bombing. He apparently didn’t even tell Congress, just Russia.

It’s become cliché to talk about living in the present moment. But life really is only a series of ever-unfolding creations in the now. The past is a memory based on our perception of what was. We argue with others over whose perspective is more valid with neither giving ground away to the other. So we remain stuck in dialogue surrounding past perception, the creative spark of Spirit left waiting for our remembrance.

Conflict is inevitable when agendas drive the conversation. We forget to listen to others who have as much at stake as we do. Caught up in our own opinions and perceptions we no longer see the bigger picture and our response reflects that narrow view.

Turning our backs to conflict and valuing joyful co-creation with others allows us to align in unified presence emerging in higher consciousness with all. We’ve been at odds with each other for so long that it’s hard to see how we can resolve our differences. And maybe that’s the point. When does the conflict become more about the experience itself and no longer about the original reason?

Living in the present moment allows us to create our lives anew in every moment of every day. Past concerns become a weight that keeps us from moving in the direction we wish to go. At some point, we’re going to have to put our wounds, both real and perceived, in the past and decide on a way forward that respects humanity as a whole.

No matter how much the so-called new guy said he’d put this country first, it’s clear he puts himself first. Besides, he misses the point. We are one unified presence. Building a wall to keep people out, or designating a child as a terrorist too dangerous to be given sanctuary instead of a refugee of war that she is, keeps all of this conflict alive when we should be creating pathways of love and unity with each other.

The choice we make isn’t carved in stone. We can always choose each other.

Blessed Be

Alignment In Higher Consciousness ~ Runecasting for 9 April 2017

Alignment In Higher Consciousness ~ Runecasting for 9 April 2017

When we think about higher consciousness it may feel as if it’s unreachable, confusing the body we inhabit with the truth of who we actually are. In truth, each one of us is our higher consciousness and it’s to that reality that many are awakening to now. I like to use the shape of runes themselves when laying them out in a spread or pattern. Algiz, or the rune of higher consciousness, is one rune that I use frequently in alignment rituals. The last rune I drew from the bag was, in fact, Algiz itself reinforcing my choice of spreads. With everything that’s happening around the world, it seems that the Unified Presence has something to contribute to the conversation.

Magick can take various forms primarily dependent upon a witch’s focus or perspective. Some witches get involved in responding to this or that concern with anything from healing spells to love or prosperity magick. Some curse and some prefer instead to bind. Magick can further be delineated into magickal workings focusing on the shadow side of self or blessings of love and light. Some witches invoke angelic presence into their spellcraft, and some prefer to control demons.

Traditions influence as does the need to push beyond boundaries. The overall story of our lives influences as well which is where I make my own departure from the traditional narrative. I’ve always believed that the Creator/Source/God/Goddess is All That Is. As such, I don’t believe in a Creator that’s separate from the creation because the Creator is the creation. I believe that although our bodies are a creation over time by visitors to Earth, our higher consciousness remains one in unified presence with all as the Creator personified. Our bodies are only vessels that we inhabit for a time, our higher consciousness driving the bus so to speak.

We incarnate into form with an overall theme or purpose with others in agreement with their own participation. We’re interwoven together in the fabric of creation, separation from each other impossible. And because of this belief, my magick has changed considerably over the years. I’m more apt to allow things to unfold around me without becoming involved in any of it. It’s not that I won’t perform a binding spell if I really think someone or a situation is spinning out of control, but I’ve realized that at least some of my response is predicated on believing my perception of what I see.

If I stay away from judgment, then it’s easier to observe and then move on. It’s less reactionary that way. In Magick And The Aligned Witch, I discuss performing magick from an aligned state. The hazard of performing a binding spell is that I could be preventing the full expression of something that was chosen before incarnating. After all, experience can be our best teacher, so why would a witch interfere with another’s process?

Much of my magickal workings now focus on aligning in higher consciousness or unified presence. Now that ascension is in full swing, aligning and raising frequency allows everyone else to experience awakening’s resonance, our natural state. Runes are similar to the Major Arcana in tarot in that they represent archetypal influences reminding us of who we are. In essence, they keep us on track and are useful in aligning with higher consciousness.

Runes are similar to the Major Arcana in tarot in that they represent archetypal influences reminding us of who we are. In essence, they keep us on track and are useful in aligning with higher consciousness.

In today’s runecasting, I drew Gebo, Othala, Thurisaz, Isa, and Algiz and placed them in the Algiz pattern for higher consciousness. Gebo, a Water element rune, creates balanced energy exchange with others. Also known as the gift, Gebo promotes generosity and mutual benefit with all.

Othala is the rune of sacred space and our Akash. It’s said to combine all runic energies into one providing protection, peace, and prosperity. Othala balances order with chaos and its focus is on the greater community at large.

The catalytic energy of Thor’s Hammer is contained in Thurisaz. Protection and defense are this rune’s primary influence along with catalyzing change for the better. It can be used in weather and love magick, stimulating positive outcome. But along with protection, Thurisaz asks us to avoid impulsive and self-centered action, allowing anger to cool before responding further.

Isa brings stillness and alignment to the runecasting, allowing further development of the will. A rune of becoming, Isa represents Verdandi, the Norn of the static realm or present, securing our aligned focus until clarity is achieved.

In the final position, Algiz represents Air, Fire, and Water and the connection between the physical and nonphysical realms. Appearing at the bottom of the spread, it suggests that higher consciousness is our real foundation and our choices in life should reflect that truth.

The runes are arranged together in a sigil or bindrune bringing together the energetic influences of the runes contained within. They can be carried as a talisman for alignment throughout the day or used as a focus in ritual or magickal workings. The idea is to visualize the runic influences combining together into a greater resonance and then offer it to the unified presence by casting the intention for all to align if they choose. It’s like shouting out that there’s room over here at the table for anyone who wants to sit down.

Today’s runecasting is reminding us that instead of being in conflict with others, living in unity reflects who we are. When aligned in unified presence you realize that separation is an illusion. You’ll know that there is no other and that all are the Creator here to know more. The imperfections we see in others don’t exist outside of form, and when as witches we talk about living in perfect love and perfect trust, it really references our true reality as one with all. We feel the unified presence of creation. The bindrune is an expression of that truth.

Blessings to all!
