Rumecasting 4142015

I put aside the Tarot and cast some runes. And then decorated the altar with some bind runes and Witch runes as well. There’s a wind advisory for our area and it feels like the winds are blowing much harder than 20 mph. I love the wind. It’s stirring things up, chaos in action. Will the runes carry that energy even higher, or will they suggest something else?

Dagaz sits atop the casting as significator. Ansuz and Laguz sit below as projective and receptive influences while Isa, Jera and Raidho comprise the foundation of the casting. The Elemental breakdown leaves Fire out of the casting, including three Water runes (Dagaz, Isa, and Laguz), two Air runes (Ansuz and Raidho), and one Earth rune (Jera) in the casting. So either the wind will die down, or it’s gonna rain. With Isa in the mix, there could be an ice storm. After all, it is Central Oregon where we have two seasons: Winter and August. Three, if you include fire season. Not that I think this casting has anything to do with the weather, but you never know.

We begin anew with enlightenment reflected in Dagaz. It’s signals awakening, and a balance between forces, the midpoint reflecting alignment, its energy flowing directly from Jera, at the foundation level, which manifests the cyclical nature of life through transformation and balance. Isa, to the left of Jera, signals inner focus and stillness, clarity and alignment. To the right, Raidho brings harmony and rhythmic action to the foundation along with justice and right thinking. It’s our moral compass that drives us to make the right choice in life.

Ansuz and Laguz influence the signficator by encouraging non-resistance, or allowing. Increased spiritual awareness or consciousness occurs when we drop resistance and allow that alignment to coalesce. Stillness returns, as does clarity. Laguz and Ansuz reinforce the alignment energy of Isa, and the balanced movement of Raidho, fostering a strong, assertive nature balanced by wisdom and inner knowing.

A new day is possible with these factors influencing us. We align with our Source within. We observe instead of react. We work in harmony with others, guided by a sense of justice and a strong moral compass. We allow more and resist less. Instead of allowing distractions from the past to influence us, we awaken to the remembrance of our essential oneness, allowing the creative process to flow with a sense of common purpose.

Creativity over conflict. Pretty cool when you think about it. I made a bindrune a while back that I carry with me everywhere I go. It combines Hagalaz with Isa and Nauthiz. I view it as remaining aligned amid the chaos, or staying calm when everything is going to hell in a hand basket. Bindrunes represent the intentional combination of energies to influence an outcome. Because I’m an empath, I pick up others’ energies like a sponge, so anything I can do to focus my attention away from all the squirrels and shiny objects out there helps immensely. Otherwise, I lose myself in everyone else and I become exhausted. So, I carry bindrunes and crystals and do everything I can to stay aligned. Runecasting helps as well as it takes me out of my own view and into a more loftier space, reminding me to stay focused in Source instead of ego. It’s also witchy. And as for whether the casting sent the energy higher, one might be tempted to say that moving through life without resistance would result in the wind dying down. But does it? Or does it remove the restrictions affecting our flow? Restrictions removed, energy rises. Unrestricted, aligned energy vibrates much faster and higher than energy does weighed down by judgment. Not even the wind can keep up with that.
