In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “1984.”

..and I begin babbling like an idiot. I think my greatest fear is to have no one to talk to. I don’t need much time with someone, just a little conversation now and then is fine. I have a lot going on and it’s not like I have a whole bunch of time to socialize. But then, that’s how it is with witches. We spend much of our time interacting with nature. We have gardens to tend, and herbs to dry and process into Goddess knows what, because you never know what we’re brewing up.

But while I’m in the room, I’d enter a meditative state and talk to whomever showed up. Surely someone knows how to pick a lock, they do develop skills whilst in physical form, and they do like to share. I love that word, whilst. It seems appropos when speaking about the more translucent among us.

Anyway, at some point, I’ll have sat too long and if I don’t get up and move about, I’ll be frozen in place. I really am better at moving meditations. By now, the police should have arrived, having called them after discovering I was locked in, and with any luck, prior to the picking of said lock. It would be difficult to explain how I got that information..well, this guy told me how..no I don’t know his name..hard to tell what he was wearing..

You get the idea. But at the end of the day, we shouldn’t be focusing on fear, but instead expressions of joy. We’re here to be happy. And to acquire skills. Like lock-picking. It even comes with tools in a nice little pouch. Amazon has them..free shipping for Prime members. I hope an instruction book’s included.
