Moving beyond the fog

I confess, it’s been a difficult few months. Confusion over the actions of others has admittedly kept me from realizing all that I am. But sometimes that happens. I’m easily derailed by hurtful behavior. As an empath, I know that my focus needs to remained aligned with my Source Energy within, but hurtful actions get my attention in a big way. I know better, but when it’s my heart involved, I fall apart.

Sometimes we need to hit rock bottom before seeing what’s true, and before allowing ourselves to move beyond the fog of pain that surrounds us. Then we can re-align with our reason for living in the first place: to experience and extend love and joy. That doesn’t happen when we focus on unhappy situations that we can do nothing about. Moving beyond the pain doesn’t mean we forget what happened, but it puts it a perspective that no longer governs our state of mind.

I thought I’d see what the coming week might have in store so I chose the Gilded Tarot deck I have and decided on a landscape reading. I love the Gilded Tarot deck I used in today’s reading. The cards are so colorful and magickal. The artwork is beautiful.

I drew the 10 of Pentacles, The High Priestess and the Ace of Cups. Wow. Okay. Time to witch up I guess.

The 10 of Pentacles represents Elemental Earth and finances, wealth and abundance. The High Priestess, the third card of the Major Arcana, tells me to tap into my intuition which I have in flowing abundance. I pay attention whenever I draw the High Priestess. I view it as a witch/empath card, so it’s usually a fairly direct influence. The Ace of Cups, an extremely positive Water Element card, tells me that I’ve reached an emotional breakthrough, that there’s safety present, and I can open my heart without fear.

Well, that’s a relief. I have so much to be grateful for. My life is filled with abundance and love. My intuition tells me that regardless of the outcome, I will be fine, perhaps even better with this awareness. I need not fear the future, and my open heart can safely return. I need to return to what I know instead of what I fear. Seeing another through holy vision, instead of the ego’s burdensome perspective allows intuition and awareness to flow.

Sometimes, all we need is a suggestion of something else, another perspective, another focus. And then the spell that kept us in so much pain is broken. Tarot is like that, giving us food for thought. It offers another way of seeing things, and reminds us who we are.

I’m feeling much better now. Thanks for listening.

~Blessings to all!
