Three cards including the Wheel of Fortune, The High Priestess, and in the hidden influence position The Hanged Man suggest synchronicity, inner wisdom, and surrender are influencing today. A preponderance of cards from the Major Arcana indicates that higher principles or archetypes are active. Two cards from the Minor Arcana are also present, the 8 of Cups which appeared in yesterday’s reading, and the Ace of Pentacles, another in a trend of Aces in recent readings. Tarot is not only about interpretations of the individual cards, but also how they relate to each other within a reading. For instance, placement or order in the deck matters, particularly if a progression of some kind is occurring, as well as cards which recur in multiple readings. So patterns are important as well as specific card interpretations.

Cups and Pentacles, Water and Earth suits, focus the reading on our emotions and the physical or material side of life. The overall numerology is 33, the Master Teacher representing Christ Consciousness and humanitarianism and the three Major cards align and reinforce this influence.

I like the interpretation of synchronicity for the Wheel of Fortune. A large hand emerges from clouds cranking the Wheel of Fortune. We see the King and Queen riding atop the wheel in celebration of the wealth they’ve achieved as one man falls to the ground. The tenth card of the Major Arcana, the Wheel represents not only cycles but the synchronicity involved in our achievement of prosperity and success. Success and wealth are rarely achieved alone. The King and Queen are so involved in their celebration that they fail to see the effect it has on the man who helped them in their success.

The High Priestess represents the Divine Feminine within. She is the Goddess in her Triple aspect, Maiden, Mother, and Crone. The wise counselor, stressing inner awareness and alignment, the High Priestess accesses hidden knowledge, her intuition providing revelation to inner mysteries.

Continuing the stillness of the High Priestess, The Hanged Man appears in the hidden influence position of the reading. Although the card’s numerology of three aligns with the Empress card, surrender to inner wisdom aligns as well with the High Priestess. The Hanged Man represents transformation through surrender as well as the manifestation of Spirit into form. Going within to achieve a deeper awareness allows us to see all sides of an issue and to recognize truth.

The 8 of Cups appears again in today’s reading suggesting that we’re moving on from emotions that we’ve found overwhelming. The cloaked individual uses a staff to assist with the new journey suggesting a movement to higher consciousness or awareness. Although it appears as if the individual is abandoning something, moving away from no longer serves is a better choice than to remain in resistance.

Another hand emerges from billowy clouds holding a golden pentagram. Finances and practical matters are part of the influences of the Ace of Pentacles. An archway looks out onto a large body of water, flowers adorning its path. The Ace of Pentacles establishes the foundation for our physical and material stability.

In the outcome position, the Ace suggests that a new awareness is coming into play resulting from time spent in reflection. If we use a pyramid to represent the staffing structure in a business, the typical structure involves placing the CEO at the top as the most important individual in the business. Turning the pyramid upside down places the success of the company on the workers now at the top of the pyramid. The Wheel of Fortune suggests that dismissing the efforts of others is short-sighted and that we don’t build wealth alone, counseling that it’s through synchronicity with others that we achieve our greatest success.

Going within allows us to realize that we cannot exist in a vacuum, that we need others in facing challenges as well as in celebrating our success. Surrender to the awareness that all are necessary to the process as we move forward together in synchronicity toward a higher purpose. The Ace of Pentacles reinforces this as we see a new foundation emerge, one based on unity of purpose.

Ascension is about remembrance of who we are as the Creator personified. Oneness and unity aren’t just nice ideas but our fundamental reality. Although we experience life in apparent separateness, in truth, that’s an illusion and more and more of us are awakening to the reality that we are essentially reflections of one another. In separation with others, trust is difficult when competition with others is preferable to harmony. But it makes no sense to see everyone as the other when we achieve our greatest success in synchronicity with others.

Today’s reading asks us to go within and surrender to the synchronicity of our Unified Presence secure in the knowing that our greatest success is found in unity with all.
