Prison, Loss, And Opportunity ~ A Geomantic Divination

I grabbed my geomancy sticks after hearing the words spoken by the current occupant of the White House during a press conference with Vladimir Putin to see what the outcome might be from this shitshow. He looked uncomfortable and overly conciliatory standing at the podium and when he aligned with his friend over our country regarding the attack on our election, it was self-serving and craven. But then, if he actually calls out Vladimir publicly, he acknowledges his election was likely fraudulent. His cries of witchhunt are pathetic in the face of his public concession to an adversary who attacked our country. And now, listening to how he corrected, or in his view clarified, something that in his opinion needed no clarification from the press conference in Helsinki, his clarification was as ridiculous as his statements themselves.

I wasn’t going to write up the interpretation of the divination, but after hearing his excuses, I decided to do it anyway given the divination’s outcome. I’m not, however, going to look at this from the perspective of astrological Houses. Instead, I’m going to look at each geomantic symbol and interpret them from a progressive standpoint. The symbols break down as follows:

  1. Tristitia – sorrow, quick-tempered, evil in all things, carries grudges
  2. Populus – crowd, people, group, neutral, reflects the group, passive influence
  3. Acquisitio – gain, profit, success, impulsive
  4. Caput Draconis – upper kingdom, entrance, gain, opportunity
  5. Populus – crowd, people, group, neutral, reflects the group, passive influence
  6. Fortuna Major – gain, success without effort, ego, the spotlight
  7. Tristitia – sorrow, quick-tempered, evil in all things, carries grudges
  8. Puella – young girl, fickle, adaptable, unsteady, not too fortunate, highly emotional, passionate
  9. Tristitia – sorrow, quick-tempered, evil in all things, carries grudges
  10. Albus – peace, wisdom, inner awareness, sage, weak communication skills (Gemini influence)
  11. Fortuna Major – gain, success without effort, ego, the spotlight
  12. Amissio – loss, tactless, quick emotional response, dishonest, concerned with self
  • Right Witness ~ Fortuna Major – gain, success without effort, ego, the spotlight
  • Left Witness ~ Carcer – prison, outmoded ideas, bound, evil, restriction, fate
  • Judge ~ Amissio – loss, tactless, quick emotional response, dishonest, concerned with self

An initial look shows that Tristitia and Fortuna Major appear three times in the reading with Amissio appearing twice and although Fortuna Major is typically considered positive, next to both Carcer and Amissio, it may indicate an increase or gain of a negative kind. Tristitia begins the divination describing someone who is quick-tempered and carries grudges followed by Populus which appears twice suggesting passivity in the presence of others indicating bluster without integrity. In other words, the individual talks crap but when confronted folds like a cheap suit.

Acquisitio indicates success and profit exists as does Fortuna Major but impulse-control seems to be involved as well with both geomantic influences. This is reinforced by Puella which suggests adaptability that although essentially positive, seems unsteady, with emotion instead of reason driving decisions. Now Albus appears suggesting sage wisdom, but with its Gemini influence, the individual possesses weak or ineffective communication skills.

So we can see this divination describes someone who has been successful in his life but whose energy is unstable and egoic in nature. The Right and Left Witnesses in a geomantic divination concern the past and the future respectively with the Judge serving as the outcome. The fourth position is considered the end of the matter, but any opportunity from Caput Draconis brought by this event may take some time to reveal itself unless we’re looking at the opportunity revelation ultimately gives us to right the ship.

Describing the past, Fortuna Major illustrates someone who has achieved success without effort, which may describe Mr. Trump more accurately than he might like. His ego is on overdrive and has enjoyed the spotlight for much of his adult life. But Carcer in the position of Right Witness indicates prison and evil. His white nationalistic views are outmoded and destructive and if his behavior in Helsinki is any indicator, he may be compromised by the very adversary our Justice Department believes influenced his election.

Amissio tells the story, however, in the position of Judge. Appearing twice in the reading, this geomantic symbol describes a self-obsessed individual who is tactless and fundamentally dishonest. With possible prison in his future, I think that although he can play all sorts of word games, at the end of the day, he said what he said. It wasn’t a mistake. There was no need to look over the transcripts. His allegiance to Vladimir Putin was on display for everyone to see. Loss will be in his future, that much is clear. How much loss our country experiences in the process can leave us circling the drain along with him or provide us with the opportunity for new growth and success promised by the dragon influence of Caput Draconis.

This is not the end, but the beginning.

Blessed Be
