Have We Had Enough Yet? ~ Tarot for 13/14 June 2017

Have We Had Enough Yet? ~ Tarot for 13/14 June 2017

Have we had enough of this crap yet? I drew some cards yesterday prior to the Sessions hearing but I didn’t get around to writing anything up until today, so I’ll interpret the reading as the influences surrounding that event. The overall numerology is 2 or balance, but given the reason for the hearing, it feels more like a decision between honesty and deception. Too much has happened and too many lies have been told and now it’s time for clarity, no matter what that is.

Beginning with the 4 of Pentacles, a balanced structure is represented assuring wealth and material gain. Our legacy of abundance and success is depicted by the lemniscate shapes joining each pentacle to the next, created by balanced effort. The negative side of the 4 of Pentacles arises when we hold on too tightly to our possessions or are unable to let go of what no longer serves.

The Empress is the only card from the Major Arcana that’s present in today’s reading. A beautiful card, the Wild Unknown Tarot depicts The Empress as a white tree with brilliant pink tips while a crescent moon rises in the night sky. The Empress represents the Goddess in her Mother aspect in all her elegance and grace, the essence of fertility and femininity. Both a receptive and creative presence, all life flows from the Great Mother.

Power and protection are depicted in the Mother of Wands by a snake coiled around her eggs, a crude stick ready to defend her brood. She alone stands ready to do whatever is necessary to protect her young with honor and integrity. She is determined and successful, adapting to situations as necessary to assure a successful outcome.

Three swords are bound by a red cord, blood dripping from their tips emerging from what appears like a black hole against a white background. The 3 of Swords often depicts a drama triangle or sorrow. This card, in the position of hidden influence, seems to suggest that we may be either bound by our own competing thoughts, or by the intentional distractions of others. Either way, clarity is available but somehow interfered with by self or others.

The 10 or Swords depicts ten black swords piercing and killing a bull. Ruin, betrayal, and the end of illusion are this card’s primary interpretations. We’ve gone as far as we can and a new approach is necessary. It’s the end of the road, and we’ve hit rock bottom.

Perfect love and perfect trust is an idea observed amongst witches. We perform rituals and spells that invoke perfect love and perfect trust as our foundation. With all the evidence that’s coming forward surrounding the truth of the last election, it’d be nice if we could all have that as our common goal. We need answers from the new guy and his minions, yet only dodges are forthcoming. They think they’re crafty, but as the rest of us watch and are affected by their continued deception, their time is coming to an end.

Mother of Wands is such a powerful card as it illustrates the power of women to guard our future. At least some of the senators interviewing Sessions sounded as fed up as the rest of us are with the endless dodging and weaving by people working in the current information who couldn’t answer a question in a straightforward manner to save their souls. Of course, the best one was Huckabee who believes the Attorney General is the President’s personal lawyer. He ran for President too. I guess these guys think they can write their own laws while they’re in office.

We evidently no longer share the same foundation in this country. The United States of America has become so divided that our future together is in doubt. The numerology of 2 not only indicates change but choice as well. We have a choice to make in this country to either come together and put an end to the deception surrounding our last election or we can continue as we are, at each others’ throats.

We must guard what we’ve built together and refuse to accept the continued deception by the new regime. The expressions of fealty from his cabinet the other day were sickening to watch. What’s wrong with these people? How could any of them choke out the words? This is not normal. This is not what happens in a democracy. We used to be able to depend on that, but now everything is upside down.

For whatever reason, the new guy is providing a catalyst for change. But the change he seeks will make us all the poorer while enrichening a few of his friends. They view him as someone they can use at the expense of the rest of us. We’ve gone as far as we can now. It’s time to put up or shut up and I’m not shutting up anytime soon.

What we’re experiencing is the last vestiges of patriarchy in all its ugliness and oppression. Mr. Sessions sat in his chair and refused to answer anything of substance, offering some sort of ridiculous notion that his boss might at some point claim executive privilege so he’s not saying a word and even giggled when Senator Kamala Harris was shut down during her questioning of him. Besides, to hear him tell it, how could anyone think he’d do anything treasonous to our country? Well, Mr. Sessions, you apparently lied during your confirmation hearing and now you want to blame Senator Franken for that lie. So while you think you’re a patriot, the jury is still out on that.

Blessed Be

The Illusion of Separation ~ Demographics Be Damned

The Illusion of Separation ~ Demographics Be Damned

Any separation between us is such an illusion. I remember as a child becoming terrified when racist comments were made. I couldn’t handle it. It felt as if the ground was shifting under my feet and something terrible was about to happen. So when I read several articles about Rep. Steve King spouting off about controlling the demographics in our country, I felt that same shifting, only this time it was my stomach.

Hate is an interesting thing. It’s the basis for viewing certain people as the other. Entitlement factors in resulting in the sort of regime in place in our country that we’re now experiencing. No one knows what the final outcome will be but with hate at its core we’re all certain that the casualties will be many.

Investigations into how Russian operatives may have altered the presidential election results are continuing all while the US Attorneys have been fired. It’s not that it’s an uncommon happening for the so-called new guy to want his own people in those positions, but given their stature and experience as attorneys and the investigations under way, the timing seems craven at best. They evidently know more than the so-called new guy is comfortable with so they have to go.

The so-called new guy knew just what to say and how to deliver that message while on the campaign trail. I couldn’t listen to him, his vitriolic and dishonest message simply too much for me. I remember hearing the constant crooked Hillary Clinton meme, almost in a sing-song fashion. His voice was hypnotic, the cadence manipulative, and his supporters responded exactly the way he intended, the brainwashing complete.

It was sickening to hear and watch. I had to mute any news programs that featured him because I couldn’t hear that voice without knowing the truth behind it, and I wasn’t the only empath who experienced this. I wonder what it was in the heart of his supporters that responded so willingly to his racist and sexist mantra. How could any of them vote for a man who views women in such a degrading manner? How could they vote for someone who clearly had ties to Russia? Are they fine with all of the taxpayer dollars this grifter is fleecing all of us out of? Are they fine with a two-faced dictatorial asshole who will renege on all of his magical promises? Are they fine with losing their health insurance? Should we be calling all of them Comrade by now? Or were they simply duped?

The individual nature of our lives is the only way we can experience all of this. But in spite of our differences, we’re all the same Creator personified into individuated form. Any difference should be embraced and cherished, not feared. Because when we see everyone as the other we find every reason in the world to keep them at a safe distance instead of coming together in unified purpose.

The picture at the top of the post shows a geese pair who return each year to nest on my dock. They returned not long ago and have settled in to rebuild the nest and graze in yard and field. I chose it because of the as above, so below witchy tree in the pond illustrating the continuity of family. The geese could go anywhere to create life but they choose to come here. They’re unafraid of us and allow us the blessing of knowing their young. Separation, my dear friends, is an illusion. We are now and forever will be one family. All are simply reflections of our own Self.

May Rep. Cantaloupe Calves King’s demographics be damned…forever.

Daily Tarot: Illusion Versus Truth

tarot 732016

The Hierophant, the 10 of Swords, and the 6 of Cups make up today’s tarot influences. Swords is an interesting suit. It begins with the Ace as we manifest ideas from consciousness and ends with ten swords sticking in our back. And believe it or not, that’s actually a positive card.

Swords reflects our intellectual presence in the world, typically the aspect of Self that causes us the most difficulty. We think and then speak too much. And as the cards progress, the intensity of their message increases. It can be said that the even numbered cards reflect balance and the odd cards the need for such. But after the 6, things tend to go steadily down hill from there to the point where we’ve gone as far as we can go when we reach the 10.

In numerology, the 10 signifies completion. With the 10 of Swords, we experience the darkness before the dawn, the end of difficulty with a new day ahead. We see clearly now. The world of bodies is the world of illusion. Focus on form takes us out of alignment as we busy ourselves with irrelevant issues. Much has come at us over the progression of the suit. We learned early to act with integrity, to understand our dual nature, and to take the dispassionate view with the 2 of Swords. The direction of the swords has meaning, with most pointing downward. When pointed upward, it reflects alignment with our Source, downward reflecting our focus on the projection of form. When pointed downward, we experience the effect of the world by our eternal response to it. Pointed upward, we remain aligned in our Source Presence understanding the illusion for what it is. I see pentagrams in the same way, pointed up to Spirit, or down to ego or form.

We’re a constant focus into form. So our only real consideration we should make is where we put that focus. Do we focus on illusion or truth? Viewing ourselves as the creator of our own expression, we can put that focus to a creative use or we can become caught up in the machinations of others. Swords reminds us how easy it is to choose the second. And a choice it is that we make because all we need to do is to align with our Source Presence and everything becomes clear. The drama becomes unnecessary and we move forward in creative joy instead of trapped in the illusion of the egoic world. Collectively, we create the world we experience. We are the force behind everything we see. The Ace and the Two tell us to return to alignment, to return to Source Presence so that we’re not derailed by the ego’s destructive influence. Because by the time we get to the 10, we’re stabbed by everything they’ve got, broken and bleeding on the floor. And for what?

I think staying out of our heads is key. We name everything and then analyze it to the point of exhaustion. In the process, we find justification for all sorts of negative and hostile judgment of others, the entire process described in the suit of Swords.

The Hierophant signifies Divine wisdom and the enlightened teacher. Knowledge, structure, and tradition are reflected in the symbolism of the 3 shown with the Hierophant’s staff, hat, fingers, and on each column. Additionally, the 3 is found again when adding up the numerological values of the cards. 5 + 10 + 6 = 21 which when added together equals 3, reinforcing the influence of Divine wisdom and enlightenment. The Holy Trinity, intuition, and secret or hidden knowledge is present in the Hierophant card. Conformity and religion are also an interpretation of this card, but so is free will. The staff is pointing upward as is his right hand. Conformity is a choice and we’re encouraged to align with Source Vision, to think outside the box if you will. Step away from the norm of the egoic world and chart your own course.

The 6 of Cups, a Water Element card, signifies a gift or sharing with someone you love. It represents family and friendship, a cup that is full. It illustrates what can happen when we simply love. We make things too difficult when we stay in our heads too much. Our focus is on the illusion of form, a temporary situation at best, that rarely brings us happiness. We control instead of allow. We define everything and everyone to the point that if they’re not exactly who and what we want them to be then our happiness is over. Done. Finished. We give over control of our own creative vision to someone else.

The Hierophant reminds us as he points upwards to remember who we truly are. We are Source Energy. We are not the bodies we inhabit. We drive the bodies we inhabit. We are the Thought behind everything. When we remember that, we move forward in joyful blessings, our sword pointed upward in supreme balance. Our cup runneth over with love and happiness.

The more I work with the Tarot, irrespective of the deck I use, the more I see the cards from the Presence behind the form. We have far more control over our lives than we realize because we have ultimate control over how we see it. Do we see with Source Vision, or respond with the ego’s subjective judgment?

It’s the choice we make that determines our experience.

Blessings to all as the Dark Moon approaches!
