  • Numerology for the Day – 3 – mind/body/Spirit balance, triple aspects, catalytic energy
  • Cards
    • 3 of Swords (jealousy, betrayal, drama triangle)
    • 7 of Pentacles (take stock, let things settle, see what you have)
    • The World (21 – 3 numerology; completion, end of a cycle, reward)
  • Elder Futhark Rune – Othala – sacred space, tradition, ancestry, Akash
  • Geomancy Rune – Fortuna Minor – minor or temporary success, increase, gain

I initially drew The World but eventually moved it to the end of the spread. Beginning instead with the 3 of Swords we see three swords piercing a heart, rain in the background. This is a card of betrayal, jealousy, or possibly a drama triangle of sorts.

The 7 of Pentacles is next with a man leaning against his rake as he looks at his harvest, in effect, taking stock and letting things settle out. This is a card where we consider what we truly have in life with the understanding that we typically have more resources available to us than we might realize.

The World completes the spread with its own energy of cycles and completion. Another three numerology, all elements are expressed in balance with this final card from the Major Arcana. We see the cycles of life depicted by the lemniscates above and below on the circular garland. The World represents the neverending cycle of existence, both in the short term and the long term.

Othala, the 24th rune of the Elder Futhark aligns well with The World with respect to the idea of cycles and completion. It describes our tradition, ancestry, and the sacred space our Soul occupies in life.

The seven from the 7 of Pentacles seems to be the energy driving the solution for today. The numerical depiction of the scales, we need to occupy the four position or resting/balance point of the scales and weigh out what we have or experienced and what may be next.

The seven also allows us to balance both horizontal and vertical planes or polarities. I mentioned my mother’s saying (which is every mother’s saying) that this too shall pass. Othala and The World both suggest cycles that contain energy of their own. In other words, since emotions can be transitory and are likely at the foundation of the 3 of Swords, the reason for it all may also be transitory.

Sometimes all you can do is wait someone else out, for their perceptions to change and their own emotions to settle. It’s not the most expedient way of dealing with conflict, but when emotions are high, it may be all we can expect. And this seems to also be the message of Fortuna Minor. So, baby steps perhaps.

Blessings!
