Weekly Rune & Moon for 27 October – 2 November 2019

As a new week begins, let’s take a look at the upcoming influences. Fortuna Minor is the overall significator suggesting a week where we experience minor success, possibly involving our relationships with others. As you will see from each day, something new appears to be breaking forth. Perhaps a difficult relationship is turning a corner and a new experience is possible.

As always, I’m looking at each day’s numerology, Elder Futhark rune, and Moon information derived from both traditional astrology and Human Design’s use of the I Ching. The runes appear below.

Sunday, 27 October

• Numerology – 27/9 – completion, endings, Theta, Mars, Scorpio
• Day – Sunday is a day governed by the Sun reflecting success, joy, protection, power, confidence, and health, Fire Element
• Rune – Nauthiz (10) – Norn (Skuld) rune of the future, the friction within, inner fire, goals, protection, overcoming restriction, binding, positive change, need
• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 57 Line 3 Acuteness describes intuitive awareness resulting in complete clarity.
• Astro Moon Position – Libra (balance, harmony, reason) until 1:29 PM PDT; New Moon in Scorpio at 1:30 PM PDT (intense emotions, secretive, focused) boundaries may be affected by an intense emotional response. A little tact may save the day.

We see things clearly today, with something either resolving or coming into full clarity. This may not occur, however, without some challenges along the way, and interactions with others may be difficult. Today may present a moment where real understanding can be achieved so use the friction within generated by Nauthiz to avoid taking the bait. With the overall energy of minor success from Fortuna Minor, the week’s significator seems to suggest success that is unfolding instead of complete.

Monday, 28 October

• Day – Monday is a day governed by the Moon and involves healing and intuition along with feminine magicks
• Rune – Thurisaz (3) – Thor’s Hammer, defense, new beginnings, protection, opposition, impulsive behavior, giants, chaos, weather magick, Fire Element
• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 28 Line 1 Preparation describes the intuitive awareness that a focus on detail assures effectiveness.
• Astro Moon position – Scorpio – emotions remain intense throughout the day. Avoid jumping to conclusions.

Scorpio’s focus may be intense, but it does assist us in getting things done. Intuition is strong as a new day begins, perhaps building on clarity gained yesterday. With Fortuna Minor as our overall significator for the week, while we may not have achieved full resolution, we’ve at least gained some ground. Avoid impulsive behavior.

Tuesday, 29 October

• Numerology – 29/11 – Master number for illumination
• Day – Tuesday is governed by Mars and is filled with passion and energy
• Rune – Fehu (1) – wealth, abundance, cattle, life force, sending energy for magickal workings, growth, success; Elemental Fire
• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 1 Line 4 – Aloneness as the medium of creativity suggests creativity arising from an inner alignment or focus.
• Astro Moon position – emotionally intense Scorpio until 2:59 PM PDT when it moves into adventuresome Sagittarius. Interaction with others and a desire to travel are favored.

If clarity over something we’ve been experiencing began to emerge on Sunday, by today we may achieve full awareness and we’re ready to cast our own intention, as it were, to stand in our own truth. Although Scorpio’s influence on our emotions transitions to a more adventurous approach as the Moon moves into Sagittarius in the latter part of the afternoon, a single-minded focus may negatively affect our interactions with others. So, allow the eleven energy to inform as well as illuminate supporting inclusion over a more solitary approach.

Wednesday, 30 October

• Day – Wednesday is governed by Mercury and involves communication, reason, and intellectual expression
• Rune – Dagaz (23) – a new day, dawn, endings and beginnings, conclusion, daylight, awakening, all doors open, all options available; Elemental Water
• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 34 Line 2 Momentum describes the ability to stay focused when the goal is within reach.
• Astro Moon position – Sagittarius; a day for action and leadership, travel, and planning for the future

Dagaz provides the feeling of as one door closes, another opens and as it continues the eleven energy from Tuesday all options are available, particularly involving our interactions with others. Sagittarius’s leadership skills may provide direction today but again, a focus on inclusion over going it alone is preferred. Don’t lose sight of the goal of harmony with others.

Thursday, 31 October (Samhain/Halloween)

• Numerology – 31/4 – structure, foundation, sensation, materialism, divinity, masculine resonance, justice, seasons, elements, Sun, Sagittarius
• Day – Thursday is governed by Jupiter and involves expansion and benevolence
• Rune – Gebo (7) – balanced energy exchange, link, marriage, partnership, gift, reciprocity, Water element
• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 5 Line 4 The Hunter describes the will to wait until everything is in place before acting
• Astro Moon position – Sagittarius until 7:29 PM when it moves into reliable Capricorn. Discipline balanced with reverence is favored on this most auspicious holiday.

As the veil thins, we’re reminded of the impact and love from ancestors who have passed on before us. For those who revere this day as more than a time to eat candy and dress up as scary creatures, we use Jupiter’s expansive energy to align in the love our ancestors, allowing their blessings to wash over and cleanse us. Their wisdom informs us to allow for all things to come into alignment before pressing on in strength and purpose. And if working magick on this blessed night, cast your intention for harmony and balanced exchange with others in respect for those who have passed and for those souls yet to be.

Friday, 1 November

• Day – Friday is governed by Venus and involves love, balance, and harmony
• Rune – Ehwaz (19) – change, momentum, intuitive bond, Merkaba, travel, partnership, astral travel, mutual end, relationships
• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 10 Line 1 Modesty describes oversensitivity that colors feelings of belonging.
• Astro Moon position – reserved Capricorn suggesting a responsible and organized focus

Depending upon when the sugar coma lifts, the running theme of new beginnings continues with its relationship focus. We take a more reserved approach with Capricorn’s influence on our emotions, but Ehwaz’s presence reinforces harmonious interactions with others, so positive momentum in that regard is sustained. One outlier exists, however, with the Moon’s position in the Human Design chart and its caution over modesty. In this case, modesty refers to oversensitivity that affects feelings of belonging so proceed with caution so that perception doesn’t impact any positive steps taken this week. It’s likely the aftereffect of too much sugar intake during last night’s festivities anyway.

Saturday, 2 November

• Day – Saturday is governed by Saturn and involves binding, slowing, and resistance
• Rune – Inguz (22) – the sudden release of energy, male fertility, DNA structure, gardening, inclusion, the seed, potential, genetic inheritance, grounding, inner focus
• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 38 Line 3 Alliance describes the ability to align with others during difficult times
• Astro Moon position – meticulous and disciplined Capricorn with a focus on boundaries today

After a week of exploring a new direction in relationships that values and preserves harmony with others, we slow down a bit and focus on details today. A two numerology reinforces our understanding of polarity within relationships further aligning with the concept of alliance from the Moon’s position in today’s Human Design transit chart. It may be that the difficulty originally experienced provided the momentum for change. Today, although we may be taking time to focus on mundane tasks, it may also be a time for reflection on progress made.

Overall Thoughts

Fortuna Minor, our geomancy significator, suggests even progression or small victories over the course of the week. But if considering the week from a numerological perspective, momentum builds toward harmonious interactions with others, possibly resolving a difficult situation or relationship that we’ve been experiencing for some time.

Sunday’s nine numerology offers the opportunity for endings and beginnings reinforced by numerologies of one on both Monday and Friday. Tuesday’s eleven energy provides a soul-based level of illumination which increases clarity followed by catalytic energy on Wednesday that allows emotions to both settle out and gain the momentum necessary to continue on. It’s almost as if the runes for both Sunday and Wednesday could be switched because a closer consideration of Dagaz on Wednesday really illustrates how the flow of one experience emerges into something new.

Thursday’s holiday, Samhain/Halloween, may provide a break from some of the intensity, even with the excess sugar intake, but be prepared for November’s eleven energy to foster even more illumination going forward. Friday’s numerology of one also indicates new beginnings and unity, so if all parties are engaged, whatever relationship difficulties we’ve experienced could finally be resolved. The foundation for rebuilding our alliances with others is there. All we have to be is willing, take a risk, and walk through that door.
