The Power of Thor’s Hammer ~ 20 March 2020

Thor’s Hammer is an interesting, if not tense, astrological aspect involving three planetary bodies/positions. Two are in square with each other while in sesquisquare (sesquiquadrate) with a third. Essentially the struggle is to achieve a harmonious outcome, apropos considering the two pandemics we’re experiencing, the COVID-19 virus as well as the damaging effect of the so-called president on our country. Both are serious problems that we’re all having to contend with right now.

In spite of the lack of care from the federal government, various individuals, businesses, and state officials are stepping up and offering solutions that the guy in the White House refuses to provide which in my opinion describes the positive effect of this particular aspect.

Today’s Thor’s Hammer aspect pattern involves the Earth, Venus, and the South Node of the Moon which gave me some pause when I looked at the sign and House that each one is currently in. The Earth in the 4th House/Libra suggests foundational concerns are understandably a big issue right now. We’re experiencing a lack of balance and we’re trying to find our way out of the darkness of division and a negligent governmental response.

In square with the Earth, the South Node of the Moon in the 6th House/Capricorn suggests a need to view each other as part of a shared experience and to move forward in harmony with others. While this may require humility, it’s necessary if we’re to all survive the situation we’re now in.

Finally, Venus (11th House/Taurus) is in sesquisquare with both the Earth and the South Node of the Moon, reinforcing the direction of harmony and shared purpose with others. The message is clear: it’s time to let go of the division caused by the president and get to work saving our collective family.

Let’s turn our backs to a man so devoid of empathy that he cannot understand the nature of his mission. Calling himself a wartime president, it appears that he’s at war with the people and not the virus itself. He attacks anyone who speaks the truth and causes such consternation and fear that in reality, he should be removed from office now.

But until that eventual day when he’s no longer defecating on the Constitution and the American people, we’ll have to move ahead with the power of Thor’s Hammer without him. Because what else can we do?
