Favorable/Unfavorable for Magick ~ very bad – spend your time today tidying up your workspace or altar area. If you have a separate stillroom for your workings then take an inventory of your supplies and make plans to purchase anything you don’t have. If you have an herb garden, take time to tend to your plants, interacting with each one to align with their energy. While spending time with each one, bring to mind the planet and element that governs, as well as their usage in various workings. Bring your grimoire or a notebook to take notes and record your impressions.

Hagalaz, in the form of Urdh, the Norn governing the past, assists us in tearing down barriers that prevent clarity. Nauthiz, as the Norn, Skuld, prepares us for the future by harnessing the friction within (or will) to manifest new perceptions. From there, Fehu, as the sending rune, aligns both energies and focuses (casts) them inward to let go of perceptions that prevent awareness.
