If you derive emotional sustenance from acquiring possessions, you may find that to be fleeting at best. You may discover that a more rational, focused view of your financial security is needed so that your emotions don’t impact your ability to see the overall picture.
Seek input from a partner or a trusted advisor so that you make adjustments that are truly beneficial. This is not the time to ignore advice that may be uncomfortable to hear. Instead, a little humility may get you back on track.
