As with last week, both readings seem to dovetail together, so I’m including both write-ups with their respective videos below.

Today’s runes were Raidho and Conjunctio from the As Above So Below reading on my YouTube channel suggest that we move forward in an integrated or unified way with others. Raidho represents integration and momentum while Conjunctio represents union or joining so one reinforces the other today.

The cards for today were all Major Arcana cards: Death (13/4), The Chariot (7), and The Moon (18/9) with an overall numerology of 2 or balance, healing, reciprocity, decisions.

Beginning with Death, we see a skeleton wearing black armor riding through the scene on a white horse. He holds a black flag with a white rose containing what appears to be an inverted pentagram in its center signifying the transition between life, death, and rebirth. The black and white colors represent both dark and light, or death and life. The King lies dead on the ground while the Queen appears bereft with a child next to her while a priest gives last rights. Two towers appear on the right side of the card with the kingdom in shadow while a large Sun rises between the towers. The Death card implies transition and rebirth along with transformation and the return of the light.

Next, The Chariot depicts a King standing in his chariot with black and white sphinx-looking lions on the ground in front of him. A shield with an upright dreidel appears on the front of the chariot with a winged Sun above the shield suggesting balance and healing. The King holds a scepter of some kind in his right hand while his left hand is empty and still. He’s not holding any reins and everything seems at rest. Two castle-like buildings are on each side of the scene in the background. Again, everything seems to suggest balance and trusting the moment. The Chariot involves movement, mastery, surrender versus control, and from a higher perspective, our soul’s vehicle in physical reality. And, as the 7th card from the Major Arcana, The Chariot suggests observation and knowing when to take control and when to let go of that control over our circumstances.

A large Moon rises between two towers while it looks down on a wolf and a dog barking in The Moon card. The dog is a brown color (dark) suggesting the receptive or civilized/passive side of self while the wolf is a yellow (light) color suggesting the projective or instinctual/active side of self. A path winds upward from the pond and the mountains while a crayfish rises up from the water suggesting rebirth and transition. With the canines standing on each side of the path from the pond to the mountains, this also would imply balancing both receptive/projective energies within. Regarding the two towers, we see the same two towers found in the Death card and implied in The Chariot card, reinforcing the idea of balancing dark and light. The Moon card not only represents our dreams and emotions, the cyclical nature of life, rebirth and transformation, and awakening and intuition, but it also suggests illusion and deception (either from self or others) which may also be a factor in the reading.

Taken together, the Major Arcana cards are asking us to step out of the ego’s hold and return to our soul’s natural state of integration. A focus on the ego’s perception can increase the need for control which The Chariot shows us is really a choice that we make, with its implication the necessity of finding a healthy balance between dark and light, receptive and projective energy, and soul/ego expression.

The soul-archetype nature of the rune from the Elder Futhark and the three cards from the Major Arcana should not be taken lightly given their fundamental alignment as well as their message of balance and integration. So whatever is happening for folks today, the overall message of the reading appears to involve the necessity to see the situation from a balanced, higher perspective and then to understand the need to let go of any self-deception (or deception from others) and find a path forward together.

Today’s As Above, So Below reading from my YouTube channel appears to reinforce Monday’s reading concerning integration and balance but with some catalytic energy thrown in to get things moving. Below are the reading notes.

Today’s runes included Nauthiz ᚾ and Tristitia. Nauthiz is the Norn rune of the future which describes the friction within or the inner need to manifest something. Tristitia, on the other hand, describes grief and sadness but on the level of fixation or self-recrimination. Condemnation is also part of Tristitia.

For the cards, I used a new Rider-Waite deck which is really lovely. And yes, I can’t stop purchasing new decks. It is what it is.

All cards are again, as with Monday, from the Major Arcana suggesting major change or the need for higher awareness, so there’s a synchronicity there. Monday’s reading involved understanding the need to let go of any self-deception (or deception from others) and find a path forward together. And although the two readings appear to be related, again, this one seems to be focused on the individual and a reintegration, rebalancing, or healing that is needed. However, Monday’s reading did involve letting go of perception, so take what you want from that reading and how it might apply to today’s reading.

Beginning with The Emperor, we see a man in authority sitting on his throne with a ram’s head on each corner. He’s still wearing his battle attire (or at least the boots) with a red cloak covering him. A card of Aries, The Emperor represents the Father aspect of self who is pragmatic, disciplined, and reasoned as well as motivated and ambitious. Its four numerology suggests foundational energies of grounding and structure. So, whether we see him as our own inner authority to understand the truth, or a wise mentor or counselor of some kind who can give us a more realistic perspective, the goal here is to reorder a situation that’s happened in our mind and heart and be able to move on.

The Tower, the 16th card from the Major Arcana has a seven numerology suggesting letting things come to rest as you would experience with a set of scales. We see a lightning bolt strike the top of the tower setting in on fire while two people are leaping from the tower and falling to escape the fire’s flames. The Tower reflects letting go and rebalancing via something transformative that’s occurred.

Lastly, The Empress sits on her throne holding a scepter with her heart-shaped shield on the ground next to her. The glyph for Venus appears on her shield suggesting love and beauty. Her authority is from Spirit illustrated by her crown of stars. Abundance is visible all around her and the card gives a feeling of love, peace, and healing. The Empress is pregnant and represents fertility and the creative force as she gives birth to her own creation.

Bringing all of this together, there could be a situation that has left us stuck in grief with the potential for self-recrimination or self-doubt. Nauthiz suggests that we have the inner will to move away from sorrow (Tristitia) and manifest something new. The Emperor either represents our inner authority or someone we trust who can help us make sense of what happened and put it in a different perspective. The Tower suggests a rebalancing is necessary which the catalytic impact of Nauthiz can invoke or motivate. From there, we can heal and express love and creativity with The Empress.

And I think, as with last week, we can find a connection between both readings this week with today’s reading reinforcing what we need to do to let go of grief or sorrow and reintegrate or rebalance within as well as with others.
