Significator Runes

  • Raidho
  • Cauda Draconis

Cards

  • The Hanged Man – card 12/3 numerology, Major Arcana
  • 7 of Swords – 7 numerology, Air element, Minor Arcana
  • Justice – card 11 and Master numerology, Major Arcana

Beginning with today’s significator runes, Raidho, the as above or spiritual influence from the Elder Futhark, describes integration, soul journey, process over goal, rhythm, cycles, partnership, harmony, and justice. Cauda Draconis, the below or physical reality influence from geomancy, describes endings and karma. Cauda Draconis, and its complement Caput, represent the Nodes of the Moon, with Cauda describing the South Node’s influence on past behavior that’s impacting the present moment. Together with Raidho it suggests that in the past (or past life) you may have had difficulty integrating or valuing collaboration with others and you didn’t understand the spiritual impact that had.

One thing I neglected to discuss in the video was the reading’s overall numerology. The cards have a dual numerology with a one numerology of new beginnings for the Hanged Man and 7 of Swords followed by a Master 11 numerology for the card of Justice. Given that I don’t reduce Master Numbers (11, 22, 33) due to their inherent power, 11 stands on its own as the number for awakening and enlightenment. And together the two runes suggest that there could be a new beginning that is born from awakening to a higher truth, such as today’s Raidho influence of the soul’s integration into physical reality.

Looking first at The Hanged Man, we see a man hanging upside down from the gallows pole. We see triplicities (groupings of three) throughout the card with the pole itself, the man’s legs, and one with his arms and head, suggesting mind/body/balance, integration, and alignment, but in this case it’s alignment in Spirit or higher awareness. In fact, the emanation of light surrounding his head represents gaining higher wisdom. The Hanged Man represents surrendering to the moment, alignment in higher self or spirit presence, Spirit focus, transformation, change, and letting go of that which no longer serves.

Next, we have the 7 of Swords where we see a man standing in front of a dual line that separates him from the King’s tents on the right and soldiers off to the left. He appears to be stealing five of the seven swords left outside which may represent the King’s battle plans or strategy for overtaking the town where the man lives. Perhaps he was there serving the King and his soldiers, and they didn’t realize that he was actually there to level the playing field by stealing information to give the town an advantage they didn’t originally have.

Finally, Justice, the 11th card from the Major Arcana represents expressing justice in our lives. We see Lady Justice sitting on her bench holding the sword of truth in her right hand and in her left a set of scales that are in balance. The yellow area at the top signals higher awareness while her red robes and red drape behind her suggest spiritual power. Reading this card along side both The Hanged Man and the 7 of Swords, it suggests that as you work through past karma and understand its higher message and purpose, you can awaken to a new awareness of what expressing justice really means. It involves trust, balanced reason, and living in harmony with others in a way that embodies honor and truth.

To sum things up, considering the influence of both Raidho and Cauda Draconis, perhaps you’ve been deceptive in your dealings with others in the past to gain an unfair advantage, and although it may have gotten you what you wanted in the short term, it has impacted how others trust you. The collective numerology of one for the first two cards and its expression of new beginnings suggests that you have an opportunity to change that by understanding the impact of your past actions (karma) and choosing to be honorable instead of continuing to engage deceptively with others.

Recognize the pattern that karma gives you to work through past actions so that you make a better, or in this case, more honorable choice. Situations manifest that give each one of us the ability to grow spiritually, and to understand who we are as souls having a journey through physical reality. And as you achieve higher awareness, and make choices that reflect that, you clear the karma of past actions.
