Reading Notes

Significator Runes: Perthro (fate, synchronicity, cause/effect, healing, chance) and Puella (little girl, scattered focus, happy, inattentive, superficial)

Cards: 8 of Wands (8, Fire, Minor Arcana), Ace of Swords (1, Air, Minor Arcana), and The Emperor (4, Major Arcana)

Overall Numerology: 13 reducing to 4 or practicality, pragmatism, structure, reliability, grounding

Beginning with Perthro, today’s rune from the Elder Futhark, this describes how you approach the idea of fate. Are you giving away your choices to others, or are you asserting or defining that for yourself? Do you understand the cause and effect of the choices you make? And are you paying attention to the synchronicities that appear that have value and meaning? Puella, today’s geomancy rune, suggests that your focus may be a bit scattered and you may miss the signs around you that tell you to pay attention to what’s going on, which when combined with Perthro, may impact the choices you make.

Moving on to today’s cards, I’ll begin with the 8 of Wands. Lots of energy here with this card. Eight staffs (wands) are swiftly entering the picture as if a lot is coming in on you today, so much so that you could feel overwhelmed. It could reflect new opportunities or it could be suggesting that something you’re involved in could have various components to it that are all coming together at once, forcing you to deal with all of it at the same time. The risk with this card, however, is that your fate may be controlled by how overwhelmed you feel.

Next, the Ace of Swords shows a hand reaching out from dark clouds holding a sword pointed upward as it pierces a crown with garland draped over it. The crown and the garland suggest higher awareness and the darkness of the cloud suggests unknown factors or unintended consequences that could be possible. The Ace of Swords essentially describes self-assertion from a higher perspective. And whatever it is that’s coming in on you suggested by the 8 of Wands needs to be seen in a rational manner and in full clarity.

Lastly, The Emperor, card four from the Major Arcana, sits on his throne adorned by four rams heads. He’s a man in authority, ambitious but pragmatic about it. He’s disciplined and reasonable, and could either represent those values within yourself, or it could represent a trusted advisor that you can reach out to for advice.

Summation

Today’s reading suggests that a lot is coming in on you and you need to understand the full picture as well as take a rational approach to finding a solution. Watch for synchronicities that could tie all of it together or give you insight about how to manage the situation without becoming overwhelmed. But realistically, you have to define your own fate here and not give that away to the situation itself or to others. Take your time to understand the whole picture and don’t give into pressure to make decisions you’re not ready to make.

Blessings!
