Reading Notes:

Significator Runes: Kenaz (6th rune, Fire element, the torch, light of Spirit, clarity, revelation, healing, well-being, love, intuition, transformation, creativity awakening) and Fortuna Minor (lesser fortune, outer assistance, progressive success)

Cards: Ace of Pentacles (1, Earth, Minor Arcana), Knight of Wands (Fire, Court), 9 of Wands (9, Fire, Minor Arcana)

Overall Numerology: 7 with Kenaz – 6th rune, Ace of Pentacles, 9 of Wands (6+1+9), or 1 when looking only at the cards (1+9=10=1+0=1)

Patterns: There’s a run on Wands with two cards from Wands, plus the one numerology for the cards aligns with the day’s one numerology of new beginnings or opportunities.

Oracle Card: River ~ Surrender – Here we surrender to the flow of higher awareness instead of to the reactive ego. We drop resistance to what’s happening around us and stay in the flow or on our own path. We know what’s important and when it’s important to float right on by. ~ The Wild and Sacred Feminine Deck

Looking at Kenaz, the 6th rune from the Elder Futhark, it describes the torch, the light of spirit, awakening, and illumination. Kenaz can involve love, healing, and well-being. And most specifically, it expresses transformation. Fortuna Minor, the geomancy rune, describes lesser fortune or progressive success. It suggests asking for assistance from others, and involves the steps you take to achieve success. Together, the runes suggest that you progress forward in a higher level of clarity and understanding. You’re not going to get there alone, and you need to have the wisdom and clarity to know that.

Moving on to the cards, the Ace of Pentacles describes a new path or a new opportunity that is opening. You see white lilies growing on either side of a path that extends through an archway. The lilies suggest purity and new beginnings while the path takes you forward. One side of a hedgerow is connected by an archway to the other while mountains are visible on the other side. This suggests that there may be challenges on the new path or opportunity that you contend with as you head down the path to material success or security.

The Knight of Wands is next and, with the next card in the reading the 9 of Wands, this is where we switch from the initial path taken in the Ace of Pentacles to look further at the new opportunity you’ve chosen. The Knight is on his horse on a quest in the Holy Land. We know it’s the Holy Land because of the three pyramids visible. And the implication is that the new opportunity involves higher awareness (Kenaz) guiding our choices. The Knight is active and protective, but there is also an element of risk with this individual, and, when considering the influence of Fortuna Minor, it would suggest that you have to manage the risk you take when pursuing this new opportunity by reaching out to a trusted advisor, perhaps legal in nature, or at least someone who has experience to share.

Lastly, or at least I thought it would be the last card, the 9 of Wands describes the success at the end of the process. But it occurred to me that the reading was missing the so-called steps along the way that you would be taking, so I stopped the reading here and gathered up the cards in the suit of Wands to show that progression.

Although I began talking about the 5 of Wands first, overall the process begins with the Ace of Wands where the new idea or opportunity found its genesis. From there, you make a decision in the 2, followed by waiting for the results of that decision in the 3. In the 4, you may collaborate or partner with someone, and it may indicate this is where you ask for assistance or guidance. In the 5 you have a spirited discussion with others as to the direction to take, while in the 6 you gain the support of others. In the 7, you might have to stand your ground, while in the 8 you have a lot coming in on you, or it could describe the momentum as you come to your final outcome. Recognition may also be involved with the 8. And then, with the 9 of Wands, you’ve clearly been through something challenging, but at the end of the day, here you are with a successful outcome. And then, if you look at the 10 of Wands, you bring back your success to your home and/or family.

SUMMATION

Clearly the reading, at least card-wise, begins with a new path or a new opportunity developing with the reading then shifting into the process (Fortuna Minor) you take to have a successful outcome. It suggests that you might want to manage the risks you take by reaching out to a mentor of some kind to get further input that helps you view the opportunity with increase clarity. Or it could involved others with whom you’re collaborating. But in the end, the process or the steps you took to get there has been successful.
