Below are the reading notes for today’s As Above, So Below reading. You’re welcome to watch the video here.

Significator Runes: Nauthiz (10th rune, need, Norn rune of the future, invoking the will, inner fire, goals, manifestation, binding, positive change) and Puer (youthful male, lack of impulse control)

Cards: 2 of Cups, 7 of Wands, Page of Swords

Overall numerology: 10/1 or new beginnings (10 (Nauthiz)+2+7=19=10=1)

Oracle Card: Traveler ~ Faith: Having the faith to step outside your comfort zone and in an unknown or unplanned direction and viewing everywhere you go and everything you experience as exactly where you need to be and exactly what you need to learn.

From the Wild and Sacred Feminine Deck

Beginning with today’s significator runes, Nauthiz indicates invoking the higher will with Puer suggesting the reason for that is a lack of impulse control. Nauthiz is the Norn rune of the future and positive change. In conjunction with Puer, and its lack of impulse control, it may be that higher awareness is suggesting that a lack of impulse control may be interfering with or causing a situation where you really need to invoke the will to transmute ego into Spirit so that you can manifest a better outcome. The overall one numerology for the reading implies new beginnings, so the situation in question may also invoke that as well.

Moving on to the cards, the 2 of Cups shows a man and a woman in a neutral area away from their home, each one holding a golden cup. A winged lion over a caduceus appears above and between the two cups. The man steps forward with his left foot and reaches toward the woman with his right hand. The numerology of 2 suggests healing, decisions, balance, reciprocity, and love, and it may be that an argument or disagreement of some kind has occurred and the man is initiating the reconciliation. The area in which they stand is neutral and separated from the home by a dual line suggesting that the conversation is taking place on neutral ground.

So, if we look at the 2 of Cups as a conversation that’s taking place, the 7 of Wands suggests that the woman needs to stand her ground (again, assuming it’s the man who committed the transgression) and assert what she needs from the relationship. The man in the 7 of Wands is up on a small hill assuming a defensive posture with a staff in his hands while six more staffs are aimed up at him from below. Since he’s above them, he can see what’s coming in on him. In alignment with the 2 of Cups, this could apply to the woman and is encouraging her to state what she needs without compromising her values or her dignity. The six staffs below could then represent all that she needs to defend herself from. The impulse control issue described by Puer could then involve whatever the man needs to apologize for.

Lastly, the Page of Swords is a student or seeker who is intelligent, vigilant, and diplomatic. However, this Page is also a risk taker. We see him leaning forward into the future while considering, or taking with him, his past learning, experience, and values. The scene almost appears to move, whether it’s the ground or the clouds above, so it appears that things are shifting, especially if the woman in the 2 of Cups is standing her ground and taking the risk to say what she wants or needs. And again, with the one overall numerology of new beginnings, the risk she takes may have her stepping outside her comfort zone to manifest a new beginning, which could also be something new for her. From the perspective of the man, again assuming he’s the one who caused the problem, initiating an apology may also be something new for him and it may take a higher awareness-based invocation of will to do that.

SUMMATION

We enter the reading after an argument or some other transgression has taken place between two people. Although the man takes the first step to initiate the conversation, however, both individuals are taking a risk when expressing themselves. The woman, as the wounded party, takes a risk when asserting what she needs, while the man, as the transgressor, takes a risk when accepting responsibility and apologizing. The 2 of Cups is also suggesting that the conversation needs to take place on neutral ground. From there, the woman takes the risk to stand her ground so that they can both move forward together if possible. Aligned with today’s oracle card, it’s also suggesting that no matter what happens and no matter what the outcome is, each person is exactly where s/he needs to be at this time.

So, if the reading resonates for you, remember that both you and the other person are taking the risk to express yourselves at a moment of difficulty. Standing your ground is important, especially if you’re the wounded individual, as is having that conversation on neutral ground. There is both intellectual and emotional risk involved, but know that as you move forward, you’re exactly where you need to be to invoke positive change in your life.
