So How Will It End? ~ A Geomancy Divination

Now that the United States has become a country that terrifies immigrant children by separating them from their parents at the border, I decided to posit the question, so how will it end, and then create a geomancy chart to discover one possible answer. Not the end of the so-called law that isn’t an actual law, but the removal of the idiot who wants a wall between the United States and Mexico so badly that he’ll terrify innocent children to accomplish it. As more of his associates are either indicted or are about to be, my husband asks no one in particular on at least a daily, if not hourly, basis, when is this asshole going to prison?

Posing the question is important in any divination. It can’t be too broad or it’s difficult to focus the response. Various texts exist that discuss the process of divination using geomancy symbols. Sixteen geomantic symbols or figures in all, they’re created by, in my case, throwing four sticks four times creating the four levels of each symbol. Fire, Air, Water, and Earth are represented in the symbols in just that order and are copied down in the first four boxes on a geomantic chart. From there, the remainder of the chart is created by combining two symbols at a time and entering those figures in the remaining boxes.

Each symbol is governed by both a planet and an astrological sign along with a planetary spirit and intelligence. It’s not necessary to use them as a focus in the divination, but I like to do it. The chart can be looked at on its own or it can be transcribed into an astrological house chart and viewed from that standpoint. If looking at it on its own, then I pay attention to the geomantic symbol in the fourth box on the top right of the chart. Symbols are entered from right to left, and the fourth box represents the end of the matter. Additionally, the final three boxes at the bottom are considered the Right and Left Witnesses and the Judge. The symbols present in those boxes are typically looked at as the overall interpretation of the chart along with what’s in the fourth box. If more information is needed, the final symbol (Judge) can be combined with the symbol in box one to create what’s called the Reconciler. Looking at today’s chart, I didn’t see a need to do that because I think we have enough information to come to some sort of a conclusion. Here’s what the initial chart looked like:

The geomantic symbols within the chart are as follows:

  • Acquisitio ~ gain
  • Via (2) ~ way, road, path, change
  • Carcer ~ prison, restriction, outmoded ideas, evil
  • Tristitia (2) ~ sorrow, grief, condemnation
  • Conjunctio ~ joining, union, interaction
  • Fortuna Minor ~ unstable success, external strength
  • Rubeus ~ red, passion, fiery temper
  • Amissio (2) ~ loss, dishonesty, tactless
  • Laetitia ~ joy, health, good fortune
  • Puella ~ harmony, female sexual energy
  • Albus ~ peace, sage wisdom
  • Fortuna Major ~ greater fortune, power

Again, we can simply tell a story with the divination beginning with Acquisitio in the first box and ending with Puella in the twelfth with an overall impression gained from the final three boxes. If we did that, it would show the election with Acquisitio followed by Via and a change in path. If memory serves, the new guy felt constricted and imprisoned in his new surroundings as he found that his new position was completely unlike anything he had ever experienced.

He faced condemnation illustrated by Tristitia making union with much of the country impossible evidenced by Conjunctio as he would go on to exhibit inappropriate external strength by his endless histrionics on social media demeaning and harassing any detractors in his way (Fortuna Minor).

Further aggression occurs with Rubeus as his lies overshadow any possible truth, his tactlessness creating misery and loss for many (Amissio). Whatever joy he (Laetitia) experiences occurs only when the cameras are on him, ever the carnival barker or game show host, a further loss (Amissio) which he would realize should he pay a modicum of attention.

Puella ends the initial twelve by suggesting ambivalence and a fickle nature.

Looking at the two Witnesses, Albus is placed as the Right Witness and Tristitia as the Left Witness. With Albus as the Right Witness, that tells me that wisdom will eventually prevail. But with Tristitia as the Left Witness, it suggests that there will be difficult days ahead before the final outcome of Fortuna Major in the Judge position becomes possible. A symbol inner strength, it’s clear that we’ll need as much inner strength as possible until he’s finally gone.

Now, let’s see how the astrological Houses influence the chart:

I’ve numbered each section with its appropriate House number with the sigil for Sorath, the planetary spirit I’m using today in the center. Corresponding to the Sun, Sorath governs authority figures, leadership, and power, so I thought that would be an appropriate focus for the divination. Although they certainly can be considered, the Right and Left Witnesses along with the Judge aren’t considered in this version of the divination.

The First House or the Ascendant deals with the individual in question and with Acquisitio present, it indicates his success in the election. Personal worth and possessions are at issue in the Second House and Via has little effect here other than the possibility of remaining on the same path instead of divesting as required. Given the existing emoluments issues, this may be what this means.

Carcer appears in the Third House indicating restriction in communications with others, news, short journeys, education, and rumors. This particular geomantic symbol is considered an evil influence and describes his hostile interactions with others, particularly in the press. Present also are his excessive “short” weekend trips to his various golf resorts. Education factors in given his apparent lack thereof, and rumors, well that’s fake news.

Tristitia appears in the Fourth House of fathers, inheritance, and property suggesting evil or loss in all matters possibly suggesting a difficult relationship with his own father or his own difficulty with fatherhood along with inheritance and the family business of building/owning properties.

In the Fifth House of children, pleasure, creativity, sexuality, and speculation, Conjunctio indicates the family-involved business and the effect of that union. Fortuna Minor, in the Sixth House, suggests instability regarding his relationship with subordinates or employees.

In the Seventh House of marriage and partnerships, Rubeus appears suggesting more evil and out-of-control passion. Enough said because I really don’t want to think about all of that.

Via, in the Eighth House of death, legacy, pain, and anxiety, suggests evil according to Israel Regardie in A Practical Guide to Geomantic Divination. An active influence, the path or road taken to this powerful job is significant, particularly if news reports are correct. And in the Ninth House, Amissio reinforces the legacy of loss as his longer voyages around the world may not yield his desired results. Additionally, the Ninth House deals with science and religion and the paths taken there are also suspect vis a vis climate change and his severely lacking moral compass.

Laetitia is thought to be a positive influence where war is concerned and in the Tenth House of trade, honor, authority, and worldly position, this doesn’t bode well even though joy is its primary meaning. But in this case, it may be the joy he seems to feel when the bombs drop, caught up in the spectacle, or spectre, of authority.

The Eleventh House concerns hopes and friendships and with Amissio appearing there for the second time in the chart, he may find himself standing alone at some point, particularly as he seems to forget who helped him achieve his new position. Unseen dangers, sorrow, and fear are the hallmarks of the Twelfth House and with Puella as its occupant, will it indeed be Stormy weather than sets his path on another more restrictive course?

Irrespective of which version we use, a straight reading of the geomantic symbols or using the astrological Houses as guides, the end of the matter is symbolized by Tristitia which makes a sad sort of sense. Sorrow, grief, condemnation, all will follow him forever, his legacy of demeaning others sealing his fate. No one will be there for him in the long run, some striking deals to save themselves.

It doesn’t look good. At least, not for him. But for the country and the rest of the world, we will have all learned what we don’t want. And that’s the greatest fortune of all.

Blessed Be
