Today’s Cards, Runes, and Numerology

• 22 Numerology – Master Number, Cosmic Builder, soul-level manifestation
• Knight of Pentacles – Earth element, establishing a new foundation, tradition, direction
• 4 of Pentacles – Earth element, King holds tight to his wealth, turns his back to the kingdom, miserly
• 10 of Swords – Air element, intellect, darkest before dawn, end of the illusion
• 4 of Wands – Fire element, will, intentional harmony as a new foundation, intentionally balanced energy exchange
• Isa – Water Element, Norn rune for the present moment, stillness within, alignment in Source Presence, 11 energy (Master Number, Illumination, Enlightenment)
• Puer – Fire element, young boy, impulsive action

Interpretation

Given the inclusion of Master Number energies (22, 11), this feels like a soul-level reading centered on what we’re manifesting. Initially, I drew the 4 of Pentacles illustrating a man in authority (a King) tightly hanging onto his power and wealth. His back is to the kingdom (responsibilities) and he’s focused only on amassing his own wealth.

The suit of Wands reflects Elemental Fire and the expression of will and creativity. The 4 of Wands, as the next card I drew, suggests that we’re intentionally manifesting harmony with others.

Then we come to the 10 of Swords and the feeling that we’re transitioning into some new level of clarity. We’ve gone as far as we can, the illusion and deception have been too much and we have no choice but to let it all go.

I ended with the Knight of Pentacles, at which point I began moving the cards into a more useful flow. I moved the Knight to the beginning of the spread, followed by the 4 of Pentacles, the 10 of Swords, ending with the 4 of Wands. I decided to place the Knight at the beginning because he’s looking toward the future, well–prepared and focused, suggesting that a new path forward is not only necessary but possible.

Isa, the 11th rune from the Elder Futhark, asks us to align in Source Presence and see things as they are. As the Norn rune of the present moment, Isa counsels us to remain in the present moment and not become distracted by the illusion/deception described by the 10 of Swords. It also asks us to allow Spirit to inform our perceptions.

Drawing the geomancy rune, we arrived at Puer or a lack of impulse control suggesting that the underlying situation with the King involves such. Given yesterday’s disturbing interviews with the current occupant of the White House, I have to believe this reading is describing what the country is now witnessing and it’s up to us to align in what we really know and then demand action.

If the doctors who have spoken out about his apparent condition are accurate and we’re witnessing a dementia-based progressive decline, referring to himself as the chosen one or the second coming of God is telling. And if we’re all watching this happening, we need to demand that his family do something to protect him…and the country as well. His demeaning of Jewish Americans was so far beyond the pale that it should have disturbed anyone listening and his continual vitriol directed at female lawmakers of Middle Eastern heritage is frightening.

The illusion we’ve all been witness to is simply too much and it needs to end and end now. Assuming the medical professionals who have risked their reputations to speak out are accurate, that point may have already been reached. Sadly, this doesn’t feel like an individual-oriented reading, but one that is societal in nature, particularly given what we all saw yesterday. Perhaps a threshold has been reached. If so, someone needs to act, if only to protect someone in decline.
