Not only is it Sunday, but it’s also the Full Wolf Moon tonight! I’ve prepared as much as I can for tonight’s ritual, and now it’s time to consult the Earth Magic Oracle cards for something to think about in the coming week. A landscape spread can be read in any order as it simply gives some influences to be aware of. Today’s reading suggests rebirth, passion and reflection as our focus.

A new year has begun and we tend to look back, reflecting upon the prior year. Drawing the Winter Solstice card suggests that we should take some time and reflect upon lessons learned, as well as our desires for the future. The Fire card asks, what moves you, ignites your passion? Will the future include a rebirth as the Spring Equinox card suggests?

The Spring Equinox card also suggests that some of us may be emerging from a difficult time, and perhaps a rebirth is necessary in order that we let go of what no longer serves, allowing us to redirect our lives into areas which foster more of our creativity and passion. All too often, we focus in a manner that doesn’t reflect our true reality as extensions of Source. We become bogged down in the chaos and drama of the world and forget to remain in nonresistance to it, observing rather than overly engaging. When we do that, we suppress both our creativity and our possibilities.

We’ve come here as co-creators with Source, and the Fire card would suggest that focusing upon our passions instead of drama might result in a happier, more positive life. The Winter Solstice is the perfect time to use that passion to generate new projects that inspire us, and with Spring around the corner, the possibilities are endless!

Full moons bring full creative energy to your expression, whether magickal or otherwise. Momentum is high and can be felt and used three days before and after. The Full Wolf Moon is in Cancer, bringing feelings of nurturing and belonging to the energy of the day. New ideas and beginnings resonate with this moon. Colors include black, white and silver. Goddesses include Freya, Hera, Innana, and Sarasvati. Magickal workings focus on inner work, alignment with Source, and for protection.

With reflection, new beginnings and momentum at its base, the Full Wolf Moon aligns nicely with today’s reading. As always, Earth Magic Oracle cards, by Steven Farmer, are wonderfully prescient and are a delight to use.
