Other Names: winterweed, chickenwort

Energetic Effect: Receptive, feminine, passive
Deity: Gabriel (archangel), Phul (Olympic spirit)

Magickal uses: restores balance, releases emotions

General Information: The aerial portions of this lovely low-growing plant are used and contain bitter constituents and saponins. Chickweed is used externally for skin conditions as a poultice or as part of a salve. Internally, chickweed is used to control weight, for respiratory conditions including fever, as a blood purifier, and for inflammation. Chickweed combines well with other herbs.

Preparation: Standard infusion, Poultice, tincture, liniment, salve
