Pages are the first card in the Court, followed by the Knight, Queen, and King. In Hermetic-oriented decks, the card might also be titled, the Princess. However, irrespective of whether or not you see the Page as a girl or a boy, they are the youngest members of the Court and generally represent students or seekers. In the case of the Page of Wands, the Fire element, and its emphasis on the will, new opportunities, and the creative spark of life, provides the energetic focus of the card.

In the Page of Wands, we see a young woman standing on sandy ground while admiring a staff she holds out in front of her. She is well-dressed with a feather in her cap, as she sets off on a path of new discovery. Salamanders depicted as an ouroboros, an elemental that corresponds with Fire, adorn her dress. Three pyramids appear in the background and further suggest that the Page is in the Holy Land on a spiritual journey or quest.

When the Page of Wands appears in a reading, it suggests that you could be informed about new opportunities for advancement that could happen through higher learning.
