Since today is Memorial Day, I’m not going to publish the reading notes…however, the spread is below and you can watch the video here.

I’m off to plant the carrots and, with luck, the corn and potatoes. Yesterday, when my husband tilled, that area was still pretty wet. So, he’ll do it again later this morning, and then, if it’s dry enough, we’ll plant that area. Another week, and we’ll feel comfortable planting the tomatoes, but we may wait until 6 June when I plant my pole beans to plant the cukes, zukes, pumpkins, cantaloupe, and watermelon transplants. Gardening on the High Desert at 3000 feet above sea level can be challenging. You learn to wait and to keep plenty of frost blankets on hand.
