SUMMATION
- Significator runes: Dagaz (23rd rune, day, endings/beginnings, dawn, conclusion, daylight, awakening, all doors open, all options are available) and Conjunctio (union, joining, collaboration, unity)
- Cards: Wheel of Fortune, Queen of Cups, 10 of Wands
- Patterns: if we turn Conjunctio and both 10 cards on their sides, and terminate the Roman numeral 10 (draw a line on each side), each looks like Dagaz. 10s are about endings and beginnings, which dovetails well with the meaning of Dagaz. Also, we could see the Wheel of Fortune, the 10th card from the Major Arcana as the wheel turning and coming to a conclusion, while carrying a heavy burden with the 10 of Wands representing a difficult period in your life that’s coming. Another note on the 10 of Wands, turning the card on its side shows the wands in a skewed version of Dagaz.
- Overall numerology: 23+10+10=43; 4+3=7 (observation, letting things settle, magick, balance, spirituality)
We can look at today’s reading from both a personal perspective and a societal one, although whatever happens on a societal level may also significantly impact you personally.
Personal: Today’s reading may be telling you overall that one phase of your life (personal, work, career) is ending and a new phase is beginning, and you may need support from or find common ground with others as that new beginning unfolds. You could be taking a new job or receiving a promotion in your current job that could include a different level of collaboration with others. Or, in your personal life, you could be getting married, having a child, buying a new home, etc. Either way, the end of one period and the beginning of a new one could be quite transformative.
Societal: With the bill in Congress that will likely pass, the new day that’s dawning will prove difficult for some people to manage. Although some things are scheduled to take effect after the midterms, the tax cuts for billionaires apparently will take effect immediately. Tariffs on goods from foreign countries will impact everyone’s ability to purchase necessities such as food, clothing, cars, homes, etc., because even though the administration is repeating the same lie that the tariffs are paid for by the originating country, this is simply not true. The company or individual that imports the products pays the tariff, and then, if a company, they add that cost onto the goods they sell to the rest of us. Cuts to the social safety net programs, such as Medicaid, SNAP, as well as Medicare that Americans pay into through payroll deductions, which are in the bill, will result in insecurity that could be insurmountable for many. So, Conjunctio may represent coming together both in common purpose and common impact. In this case, the 10 of Wands may indicate the heavy burden many in our country will carry going forward.
