- Significator runes: Hagalaz (9th rune, hail, destruction within boundaries, protection) and Tristitia (sadness, grief, evil, sorrow, condemnation, grudges, secretiveness)
- Cards: Death, King of Wands, 9 of Pentacles
- Patterns: one card from each grouping in the Tarot; Hagalaz and Tristitia appear to be contained within the Death card in terms of transformation and rebirth
- Overall numerology: 9+13+9=31; 3+1=4 (structure, foundation, pragmatism, diligence, grounding)
Today’s reading suggests that it’s time to let go of sadness, grief, or emotions that keep you stuck in the past. Hagalaz and Tristitia seem to be expressed by the Death card in that something happened that caused great sadness, but now it’s time to move on from that experience instead of allowing the past to govern the lens through which you see the present. You may need to ask someone for advice (counselor, friend, family member, etc) to help you move forward. But, in the end, doing so will help you achieve peace and emotional security that’s been missing in your life.
